Don't ask my why, but my wife and I were watching "Great Balls of Fire" on television the other night. I have always enjoyed The Killer's Music, but watching the movie (I saw it when it first came out years ago) prompted me to look up Lewis' appearances on The Steve Allen Show.

I must say Middle-America in 1957 must have been absolutely floored to watch this. This guy was definitely a talent.

Saw him in either late 70's/early 80's. Seemed he had drank more than he could handle. He stunk it up. Worst show I've seen.
