In an actual fight I would put Bruce Lee up against any of the MMA fighters and Boxers.
The greatest boxer of all time would be Ali and the toughest would be Tyson.

You would put a 135 lb man who couldn't grapple against a 230 lb man who knew all the martial arts and trained in them all?

Tyson Pre-King. When the old man ran the show and kept his head on straight he was a machine.

No way, Bruce Lee gets destroyed by modern fighters, especially bigger ones.

Yes I would. Why would he have to grapple with them, it is a fight. So, now all the MMA fighters are better trained in martial arts than Bruce Lee?

Once they got their hands on him it would be over, this is a different era. I have heard and read from many sources that Bruce Lee would not even be able to compete in an organization like the UFC.

It is just my opinion. I think they would have a hard time touching him before he knocked them out, but you are right if they got a hold of him, it might be trouble, not sure for who.

Here is a little story about him you might want to read, very interesting.

I believe thinthick meant "BOXING", not kickboxing or mma. So based off of this I would say Ali. For the MMA fans, of course in the MMA world an MMA fighter would beat a boxer but in my opinion the boxers would win against the mma fighters in a boxing match.

I don't doubt Bruce Lee was bad ass, but he was a movie star. You don't think there is a difference between fighting in movies and MMA?

Dude Bruce Lee was kicking dudes asses in street fights long before he started acting. That's why his parents sent him to the US.

If you ever watch the UFC, those are the best fighters in the world, fighting with the best styles and tactics in the world. There has been a huge evolution in the last 20 years with people starting to integrate boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, BJJ, Judo, etc.

He was the real deal. You are saying because he did a couple of movies showing his abilities, he was not real? You should read some articles about him and you will understand.

wtf, time for you to leave the thread and never talk about Bruce Lee again

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeet_Kune_Do

He combined many martial art styles, techniques, philosophy and made them into one called Jeet Kune Do

Movie stars don't just come around and make their own fucking martial arts system

He was a master of martial arts, none of these mma guys are even close to his level

Yes. Lee was a pioneer but the sport has far surpassed where it was.

If we transplanted a living Bruce to today and let him train I'm sure he would excel. But if we just straight up took the Bruce from back then and put him up against today's fighters he would be beaten handily.

I don't agree, but that is just my opinion. You are not talking about some golf competition where the high tech golf club has made guys better, by the way I think golf is a joke anyway. What has changed when it comes to a fight? His power and speed are still unmatched, peole are still trying to duplicate what he was able to do and still can't do it, so I think he still wins.

That makes sense. We can see how well street fighting prepared Kimbo Slice for MMA.
Bruce Lee would have gotten his ass kicked by even a little guy like Royce Gracie.

You have no idea what you are talking about.
