yeah my mistake on the rule. I wouldnt have either. By rule I think it is a TD, but the rule obviously has flaws if me, and the refs are correct. Definitely going to be a hot topic..

Skip Bayless just tweeted that Roger Goodell is personally turning the NFL into the WWE by allowing this farce to go on under his watch.

No its not a TD by rule, simultaneous possession is when both players catch the ball at the same time, it's not when one guy grabs at the ball after another caught it.

I wanna see where Tate's other arm is. That picture doesn't show that or the ball against his chest. That pic proves nothing IMO

Aside from the final call, the refs were completely dominating the game tonight.

24 penalties called for a total of 245 yards combined.

That is completely out of control, and is not letting the players play.

What is the chance that either of these scenarios happens:

1) NFL sets aside the refs verdict and awards GB a 12-7 victory.

2) NFL awards GB a 12-7 victory, but also lets stand a 14-12 victory for the Seahawks. They let each team have the stats figured according to the score of the victory they were credited with.

I dunno how Tate could possibly be sharing possession of the ball, regardless of where his other arm is. But I'm biased.

I just saw McCarthy's presser after the game. He refused to take questions about the officials. If he's that gutless, if he allows money to dictate what he says or does, then he deserved the ending he got.

Personally, the only people who will be able to exert pressure on Goodell to settle this are the Vegas bookmakers. Once they start losing money they will talk to Goodell and the lockout will end.

The one arm you see is the only 1 he had touching the ball

The only argument that can be made for simultaneous possession is that Tate got his arm on the ball before they hit the ground, so it doesn't matter that Jennings had it first in the air. The question becomes whether the one arm is enough to call it simultaneous

Was there really one arm? Thought I saw two...right arm on the outisde, and left on the inside (whether it was between his chest and the ball or not, not determind)

Not a chance. Goodell will go to the ends of the earth to defend these referees, so there is no ta chance the league office would ever do a thing to question their competency.

I believe the on field referee has the final say on the outcome. So it doesn't matter what the league office says. I know it's that way in the NBA.

The league office would never do a thing because they don't have that capability, not because of your overdramatic reasoning.

Still think the replacement refs should be out there don't you? That island is getting a little loney isn't it?

Those guys get it.

They realize how insane jeopardizing the integrity of the league was over a few million dollars when you are a tens of billions a dollars a year company.

Trent Dilfer said as much. Are the owners that dense that they would rather embarrass the league and the brand than just end this lockout and get the focus back on the game?
