The funny (see sad) thing about this play is that block wasn't penalized, but Russel lightly being pushed out of bounds was. What a joke.

Statistics says there should be 8 teams that are 2-0, 8 teams that are 0-2, and 16 teams 1-1.

That is if all teams were close to equal.

After tonights game there will be 6 teams 2-0, 20 teams 1-1, and 6 teams 0-2. Darn close to what the statistics would predict.

After next week it would be more like 4 teams 2-0, 8 teams 2-1, 8 teams 1-2, and 4 teams 0-2...my guess is that you will see less than 4 teams 2-0, less than 4 teams 0-2, and a lot more than 16 teams in the 2-1/1-2 area, probably 22-24 teams in the "middle".

Carson played a good game, its not the QBs fault there in OAK, after McF they have NOTHING else on offense. I mean almost 50% of Carson's throws are going to McF instead of WRs and TEs.

Not if you know the NFL rule about peel back blocks.

This rule was added way back in 2003 when Warren Sapp hammered a GB guy (Clifton) on an interception return and Clifton didn't walk again unaided for 5 weeks. He spent a week in the hospital and missed the rest of the season.

So yes, the hit was illegal.

It was a good block, but according to the rule change, last year I believe, the defenseless receiver rule now goes for crack back blocks too.

I have no idea what the league expects Tate to do in a situation like that.

Not saying it should have been penalized, just loling at the irony of that whole play. The guy who hardly pushed Wilson out of bounds shouldn't have been penalized either.

Not sure what change you're referring to, but I was referring to the change last year. Stemmed from the Hines Ward hit on Keith Rivers.

Mine was a rule approved after the 2003 season but I think it didn't take affect until 2005.

Look up Warren Sapp vs Chad Clifton, it was on an interception return, the guy had a severe pelvis injury and didn't walk for weeks.

I know the defenseless receiver rule that was just added in the last couple years, but this one goes back a little farther.

What does everyone think Tate's hit on Lee? Fine worthy?

I say no. The back of Tate's helmet makes contact with his chin after his chest takes the blow. Lee admitted this.

Jerry Jones along with some other Dallas fans on another board have been whining and calling for a fine.

Shouldn't be a fine, but it was definitely a penalty (according to the rules--even though it's a stupid rule).

I'm pumped for Falcons/Broncos tonight

Falcons offense isn't looking much better, frustrating. 4 turnovers and Denver is still in it. They've thrown downfield one damn time n it was a dropped td pass smh
