1. No one knows what would have transpired if Seattle would have kicked a FG at the end of the half or when they went for it. It changes the dynamic of the game especially when it happens that early in the game.. To just add 6 points onto what they ended up with is short sided thinking.

2. Russell and Lynch should have been the two ballcarriers on the 3rd and 4th and 1 in the first half. You let your best players do the work when that much is at stake. It was classic overthinking by the OC. The one at the end of the half was Russells fault. NO WAY can he take a sack in that situation. Being that close to the end zone makes it so simple to throw the ball away. Throw it over the head of any receiver in the end zone. That was on Russell, and the other one was on the OC for the play calls.

3. I can see where Carrol would be a bit adament that the FG was kicked. He called it early enough, and you could see the kicker scurrying to hurry up and kick it after the whistle so he could get a practice kick in. It wasnt like one of those split second TO's where it was too late to bascially stop/or too loud to know the play was stopped. The kicker knew the play was called dead and he just wanted to practice so it wasnt like that TO cost them the game because of the miss. I have never seen a penalty called on a kicker for kicking it, but I believe one CAN be called i guess if it came way too late. However..I dont think Carroll had a gripe there. It was later than most kicks, but I still think within limits.

4. I didnt see postgame comments or whatnot but that sorry excuse for a squick kick almost cost them the game. 5-8 more seconds and they could have called another out route and tried a FG. I know kickers dont squib them as often as they used to with the KO's moved up, but that was horrible. It wasnt a mis kick either...he flat out onside kicked that.

I think the seahawks can be extremely good next year and they are on the upswing. BUT>...we have seen one hit wonders before and until Seattle can prove they are consistant contenders i will subscribe to the 'believe it when i see it' theory. Was hoping they woulda won though

And if SF plays like they did against Seattle when they got beat like red headed step children, they have no shot of beating Atlanta. Point?

You're only as good as your last game, regular season means nothing right now. Lets talk about how the patriots lost to Arizona in the first quarter of the season, i'm sure it's relevant to the playoffs.

I think the Patriots win it all. The only team that could hang with them is SF, and I'm not sure Kapernick will be able to pull them through.

You're only as good as the game you're GOING to play in the playoffs. How does the 2nd half vs Seattle have anything to do with the game Vs San Fran?

I think we are going to see a NE/SF superbowl...def the two best teams. However, who knows what you are going to get from Kapernick in this week's game...

He's overdue for a bad performance. I think he falls flat on his face this week, but I could be mistaken.

SF - NE would be the most ideal superbowl match-up for me. As long as Baltimore loses next week I will be content.

I really want the Falcons to win just so Tony Gonzalez can get a ring.... and because I put $20 on the Falcons to win the SB before the season started lol. I think we will end up seeing the Pats win it all though.

Then finally Seattle throwing the pass they did when they had two TOs left and could have gone down the middle to get in FG range and called a TO. 6 sec is enough time to do that. The play they ran was worthless!
After this game I was expecting to hear quite a bit of 2nd guessing. I did hear it a lot in the media, but the one thing I was expecting to hear both after the game, and as it unfolded, was about the play call with 6 sec left. To me it was a terrible call for the circumstance. Did anyone hear anyone in the media even mention it?

How much time did the previous play take? 4-5 seconds? They would need a 10-15 yard pass play to get into legit FG range to make it a 50-55. If the QB doesnt dilly-dally around and can make the throw then they may be able to get that done. I imagine they didnt want to take that chance of the clock running out without a chance to win it. Remember....Russell fckd them in the first half with a bad sack at the end of the half when he coulda easily threw it away.
In bad decisions I put that down the list in that game. I think the worst decisions were the two play calls on3rd and 4th and one in not giving it to llynch or russell, and I think that on the road you get points at that point and kick the FG anyways. ALso russel taking the sack was bad decision I guess on his part. I think those were worse than that last play call.

and the bonehead move of the day/weekend was the onside/botched squib kick
