Me either because his knee looked like it gave out completely. It looked like there was no resistance there at all. That field didnt help. It was in terrible condition.

I think he was talking about running QB's that actually have running plays called for them. Those guys mostly did it on scrambles with a few draws and bootlegs worked in, but nothing like the read option plays these guys are running.Raw Dawgin' it;1359938 wrote:Donovan McNabb went to the SB and a bunch of NFC championship games. Not completely disagreeing with you, it's not the norm, but saying no playoff success is a reach.

RGIII, Russell, Kaepernick are doing the same thing Teebow did in Denver.
But the NFL rules are made for pocket passing, and protecting those pocket passers. It will be rare for a running QB to get through a season without injury.
Vick's career comp % by year: 44, 54, 50, 56, 55, 52, prison x2, 46, 62(12 games), 59, 58(10games).
He only played all 16 games in one season.

With the minor difference of "able to throw accurately" working to their benefit.Speedofsand;1359990 wrote:RGIII, Russell, Kaepernick are doing the same thing Teebow did in Denver.

BREAKING: Sources close to the Redskins camps say Robert Griffin III has torn his ACL and PCL, and will not be able to play for a minimum of 14-18 months.

Feel bad for him, but thankful Dallas will not have to account for him next season.

That is a long time. I wouldnt expect it to actually be that long, but at least next season could be out. ACL/PCL would still be a long recovery, even at half that time.gport_tennis;1360015 wrote:That's where he got it from looks like a word for word quote.

ASHBURN, Va. (AP) - Robert Griffin III will get more tests on his injured right knee after an MRI proved inconclusive because of a previous ACL tear.
Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said Monday that the rookie quarterback will travel Tuesday to see orthopedist James Andrews for more examinations.
Griffin tore his ACL while playing at Baylor in 2009, and Shanahan said sometimes an old injury can cloud the results of an MRI.
If Griffin has torn the ACL again, he would likely require a rehabilitation period of nine to 12 months, putting his status for next season in jeopardy.
Griffin reinjured his knee twice in Sunday's playoff loss to Seattle.

Lol @ said. It's funny seeing idiots try and talk about stuff they have no idea about. I'm sure he will hop on a new bandwagon though.

This was supposed to be in response to laleys post directed at me. Don't feel like fixing on the phone.
EDIT by Laley23: Fixed it for you.

No, they can make reads, run a prostyle O, and throw with accuracy. Something your mancrush couldn't do.Speedofsand;1359990 wrote:RGIII, Russell, Kaepernick are doing the same thing Teebow did in Denver.

That really really sucks. Like others have said....his style can't be lasting on the NFL....virtually everyone on defense is a freak/monster and your body can only be pounded into so many "car wrecks"
Being a little bigger would help some but would take away some quickness. QB's that have numerous designed runs and don't let up just can't last. If guys like Vick and RG3 would avoid the "extra yard" hits it would help a lot....but the designed runs almost always end a big gain with a big collision.
Wilson avoids the hits better than RG3. I like the Elway, Luck, Roethlisberger...guys that take it when they have to but also mix in about a run or two a game when you didn't expect it.

People keep bringing up "his style", which is 100% true, but don't forget Shanahan totally botched the handling of his injury. He was way too caught up on thinking of the present, which is fine.....but you must keep the future in mind and the farm they gave up to get him.
I believe he has the skills to be successful in the pocket and only run when absolutely necessary, but if they keep this offensive game plan up, he won't be around long.

I think his "style" can be successful. You just have to be smart when taking hits. Johnny Manziel might be the best I have seen in avoiding hits. RG3's knee injury that started this all was more of a freak injury in itself. He was falling down and got hit in the knee, by a DT. That could happen in the pocket.

Without Shanahan's style for RG3....they don't make the playoffs.
RG3 wanted to stay in and it's football...injuries happen. Is Kirk Cousins going to be better? RG3 wasn't healthy last week either.
Jay Cutler sat out the 2nd half not long ago in the playoffs and the world nearly came to an end.
The winner of this game has a great chane in the next round and I have a hard time believing many of us would do anything differently.

Yes, I believe so. When Washington's offense went stagnant and it was clear to everyone that RG3 was severely hobbled, he should have been yanked.Ironman92;1360053 wrote:Without Shanahan's style for RG3....they don't make the playoffs.

Whoever said this all falls on Shanahan's mishandling of the injury wins. Hurt his rookie star and hurt his team yesterday. Cousins would have been an improvement.

Shanahan yanks RGIII and they lose, then everyone would question if yanking him was the right call.

Only if you weren't watching the game. I am a die hard skins fan and probably the biggest rg3 fan on the board And I was screaming at the TV to pull him out midway through the 2nd quarter. It was that obvious he was hurting the team

But you've always been the only skins fan I've known on here and the huddle so I know you're not just bandwagon RG3 BBD lover.gport_tennis;1360160 wrote:Only if you weren't watching the game. Less would question losing than they will a serious knee injury to the rookie that cost the farm.
