Pretty much why I don't stress much over the draft.

Dickerson is getting some good show on his amazing first 2 years of his career.

How must St. Louis be feeling right now?

Not only did they pass on RGIII, but the first round picks they got for him the next 2 years aren't looking quite as good as many figured they would.

Swapping first round picks and then throwing in 2 picks in the 20's (this year and one next year around the same spot were they to make playoffs again) seems like a damn bargain for the impact he is having on the Washington franchise.

Not sure what it is but the kid has something about him that you don't feel like this is a flash in the pan.

Mad props to Shanahan as well who resurrected his own career and legacy with what might be his most impressive work to date in some senses.

He has won 2 Super Bowls, but to take a team that was at 3-6 with a rookie QB and RB leading the way to the playoffs is fucking impressive. Just for added emphasis he got a clutch win out of his back-up rookie QB who was making his first start against what at the time was a hot Browns team.

Just goes to show the value of good coaching in this league. In many ways it is no different than having a franchise QB.

I think St Louis is feeling pretty damn well. They went from a 2 win(?) seasons to a 7 win season with a young team, and they will have 2 first round picks in the next two drafts. RG3 goes down next year, and they might be looking at a high draft pick.

FUCK. Ive always been a defender of Romo, but Im done with his scrub ass. He has talent, but Dallas can never win a meaningful game with him. Done with Garrett, and done with scrub Hatcher, too. FUCK

Coaching fires we know about so far:

Reid (PHI)
Turner (SD)
Crennel (KC)
Shurmur (CLE)

Should be at least a few more announced today (Lovie Smith, Jason Garrett, Jim Schwartz maybe).

You really think Garrett and Smith are gone? Both of those would surprise me

Garrett would surprise me. Jones isn't as harsh as he used to be.....like he has a little man crush on Garrett.

Lovie would surprise me a little.

I think Schwartz gets one more year.

I had noticed Alfred Morris was piling up yards this season but didn't know his story really. Saw his press conference after the game last night and he seems like a genuinely nice kid.

Then this morning I read the story about his 1991 Mazda he is still driving (probably old news to most) and I knew he was really the man.

This is what the guy who completed the best rookie season ever for a RB is driving right now (courtesy of a Redskins blog).

Good for him. I hope he stays grounded and doesn't let his new fame change him.

Funny ya say this as I was watching a show about the money guys blow in sports and the rookie symposium and such that they attend about how to take care of their money and such. Looks like he took it to heart!

COuple years ago a kid from our HS got drafted...6th round I think. There was the lockout so no one was signing. We were talking to him and he mentioned how he knew of alot of his buddies who were drafted were already buying cars and houses and such....and almos had their first year's paycheck spent before they even signed!
