Damn...

John McClain ‏ @

Texans are trading MLB DeMeco Ryans to Eagles for undisclosed draft
choice. The trade is contingent on Ryans' passing a physical Wednesday

Iggles need LB's. When Casey Matthews is starting, you have issues.

Yeah I know that, im just wondering why the Texans would want to trade away a big piece of their defense. Mario is already gone.

Probably got a nice offer.

EDIT: I stand corrected...only a mid-rounder but Ryans no longer fits their 3-4 scheme. He's a tackling machine as a 4-3 MLB.

Well fuck, I would have taken him in a heart beat for a mid-rounder. Are the Texans kidding me? They wouldn't part ways with their backup RB unless it was a 2nd rd pick, but they are going to give up Ryans for a mid rounder?

I would have gladly given up a 3rd for Ryans.

The difference is that Tate was still in their plans, Ryans wasn't.

I remember when the Browns wanted Ryans, and he was snapped up one pick before the spot we traded to. We "settled" for DQ. I remember being pissed at that time, guess it worked out resonably well.

If Tim Tebow does not sign with another team, he will be eligible for the Hall of Fame in 5 years, 1st year eligble , and in....shouldn't be a problem

Serious question. When did the 1st round bye come into play? Because I assume some older guys got a game they "should win" in their careers. Obviously its not a guarantee in the NFL. But if he played in the older days without the bye, he has a much more respectable record, imo.

The Colts had a bye 4 times in Mannings 14 years there. He won his only Super Bowl as a Wild Card. The bye has been around for a while at least 30 years I believe.

10 playoff loses is actually an impressive stat...with 1 SB win, that's 11 postseasons. Impressive.

Not to mention you're averaging almost 1 win in those postseasons, so you're actually averaging the AFCCG when you go to the playoffs. Not bad.

But yeah, 1-1 is definitely better.
