Seriously, I think the thing is based around how Timmay is a media sensation whose popularity is so far detached from his actual NFL ability that people are scared off.Fly4Fun;1363847 wrote:I honestly thought that after last season's "success" albeit unconventional he would have at least got a shot for whoever picked him up.
Like, Jacksonville sucks at the QB position and is a horrible team, so in theory he'd be a perfect fit for them because he's popular in the state and no matter how much he sucks, one could argue that he'd still be better than a guy like Blaine Gabbert.
But they have a new GM and I think he knows that if he would sign him, that his career would be tied to him because in Florida, there would be huge pressure to start him immediately and keep him the starter to the degree that the GM's career would be tied to his performance. And I don't think any new GM who wants to succeed wants to risk having that albatross tied to them where their success is tied to the performance of an unconventional QB like Timmay.
