Surprised it's not here yet for the haters to see but Alex Anzalone reaffirmed his commitment to Notre Dame.

Notre Dame picked up a commitment from 2014 defensive tackle Jay Hayes from New York. #9 DT/#8 OT in the country. Gives them three members of 2014 recruiting class.

Looks like there might be two decommits from the current class in the not too distant future. Danny Mattingly and Jamel James will be taking visits to other programs.

Not big losses at all considering their spots will be filled by better players

Not sure how accurate it is, but a Boston College blog is saying Diaco will be interviewing for the head coach opening in the next few days. Would be not good.

Manti Te'o was named the collegiate Butkus Award winner, giving Notre Dame a sweep of the award with Bishop Luers linebacker Jaylon Smith, an Irish recruit, won the high school version of the award. Te'o was honored with the ARA sportsmanship award last week.

Te'o picks up the Nagurski Award for the best defensive player in the country. Other finalists were Clowney, Milliner, Jones, and Werner.

The Nagurski and the Butkus go to Te'o. Well deserved. He is on every 1st Team All-American defense and is one of three Heisman finalists. Probably will be the runner-up for that but still....one hell of an award tour for Te'o. After Saturday...next stop is the BCS Championship game on January 7th and then 1st round of the NFL Draft.
