He is pitching today. Game was supposed to start at 4. I'll see if I can dig up some numbers.

So from reading the Forbes article, because the Dolans own STO they make all that money? Am I reading and interpreting that correctly?

4 innings, 4 Ks and one walk. One run, 4 hits. Ohio State's Cory Luebke struck out 6 in 5 innings (1 run) for the Pads.

Heard the one run was a moonshot by Pronk. Dunc also went yard. I think he has 5 this spring. He's gotta be the leader for the LF job.

It's his job to lose at this point. He has been raking. It would be a huge boost if (wishful thinking) Duncan could hit 25-30 homers and drive in 90-100 runs.

YAY (golf clap)...ONE good outing by Fausto Jr! I'm not holding my breath that he'll do it consistently.

I crunched the numbers at the end of last year, and if I remember correctly, Duncan projected out for like 27 HRs if he had played everyday. Not sure on RBI, but I'd assume over 80

This doesn't look like he's all there.

And Shelly Duncan could be a huge boost to the offense if he continues to jack the ball.

I think we all know that Duncan can jack the ball, the question is whether he can do it everyday, be consistent, hit for a decent average, and drive in runs in the clutch. Given that the team has done nothing to address its most glaring need (RH power stick)....I say we give him a chance;)

As far as Ubaldo....I don't know if he can pitch or not...but considering we traded our two top prospects to get him...I say we give him a chance;)

My impressions of Duncan have been that he's a good platoon guy. The sort that'd get exposed playing every day, but could give decent power/production in a part-time role. Kind of reminds me of Pittsburgh's Garrett Jones in that regard. Play them every day and they'll have extended slumps where it seems everyone has them figured out, but the more time off they get, the more effective they are over the course of the season.

Here's to giving chances!

So apparently I was right on my last question since no one responded. I guess everyone was too wrapped up in Ubaldo's speed.

I respectfully disagree with Heretic's two cents worth, btw.

I agree with that, but I don't think he'd be a complete failure full time either. Maybe .250-260 with 18-20 HR.

Tribe continues to look at Jason Donald as a 'super utility' type guy. Donald has been playing center field for the past 2 games as Michael Brantley is out with a tight hamstring. The Tribe's other options in center..Cunningham, Pie and Spillboroghs...haven't shown much offensively. Bonus: Donald offers a right handed bat.

Off topic but when I was driving into work the other day I was listening to a local sports talk station. They had a commercial on for the Lake County Captains which is one of the Cleveland Indians minor league teams.

In this commercial they were having some kind of promotion which said 'attend the Captains game on <insert date> and you'll be eligible to win 4 tickets to the <insert date> Cleveland Indians/Los Angeles Angels game when the Angels, lead by their new slugger, Albert PA-JOLES come to town."

"PA-JOLES?" Really? You're a sports talk station and your guy pronounces it "Pa-Joles?"

That's interesting. He's 37, but still hit .290 last year. The biggest problem is where to play him.

*edit....they could sign him and DH him about a month into the season when Pronk gets injured.

Hopefully Vlad is roiding, in fact I hope they encourage him to roid. Fuck it. Gamble and hope he doesn't get caught until after the season.

Dolan is a liar, period. In the internet age, it's quite easy to prove his whoppers. He's as bad as Art Modell...maybe worse.

I agree Forbes is a pretty reliable source and you think they would just make shit up? The dolans are liars, and I love the line "what we make we put back into the team" lmao gtfo
