I concur.Raw Dawgin' it;1093948 wrote:so this movie has a weak plot with lots of explosions...there are lots of things i can watch that are like this without spending money on it. It looks cool, but there are tons of better military movies out there.

Do you really have to put that in every one of your movie posts? lolbigdaddy2003;1093920 wrote:I'm going to check it out tomorrow. I'll also only being paying 4 bones to see it so that helps. I'm hoping people didn't really expect it to have great acting or a great plot.

I figure this will be complete garbage. When they are advertising that real SEALS are starring....that is just a cash grab for patriotic suckers.

Fuck Rotten Tomatoes. Saw it this morning, and thought it was pretty good. Who care if the acting wasn't great, it was pretty accurate and exciting.

The user reviews have been pretty good. The hippie liberal critics reviews, not so good.
Ill be seeing this movie.

I assume this is probably full of "HERP DERP GO 'MERICA" sentiment.
And acting quality is sort of a big component of a movie.

Bad acting completely ruins a movie for me. Takes me right out of the story. I would put it up there as one the most important aspects of a film for me. No excuse for a professional actor to be bad at their profession.

The only movies with bad acting (well, other than porn) that I can enjoy are horror films. Mainly because utterly horrible acting can strangely add to something that's hilariously crappy like watching a gigantic croc and alligator/dinosaur hybrid chomp through a bunch of disposable characters.Commander of Awesome;1094783 wrote:Bad acting completely ruins a movie for me. And Fast and the Furious, Anchorman, The Transporter etc etc... Good acting is not 100% essiential to a watchable movie. Just sayin.Raw Dawgin' it;1094815 wrote:ha you talking to some people who enjoyed twilight and ghost rider....pretty sure they could care less how good the acting is.

I would have enjoyed this movie even if I wasn't in the Navy. The realism of the missions is what sold it for me.SportsAndLady;1094758 wrote:You're a bit biased

Shut your dirty whore mouth about Anchorman.
And in general I tend to give far more leeway to the comedy genre in regards to acting because it is by it's nature not taking itself seriously.
