Yeah, and I dont care if you dont. I was just wondering why.Midstate01;1086169 wrote:What I mean is he's from iu. So of course you like him.
His voice is tough on the ears, but I guess Im used to it.
I do like him as a person, but as a fellow broadcaster, I try to analyze the professionals without bias. I think Dakich is tremendous. Id rather the color guy talk about the game than the PxP man dominating the call (you know, since we can SEE it its hardly necessary all the time, like Mike Patrick does). Or the over top guys like Dickie V, etc.

Sully really needs to quit forcing some of his shots. I understand he gets doubled team but he needs to let the game come to him.

I am gonna watch Justified at 10. Someone post in here if the game gets tight in the 2nd half and I need to turn it back on.

Wow huge shot by Buford to make the lead 12 at the half.
The Gophers end the half on a 12-3 run.

We pissed down our legs the last 9 minutes. We just settled for 3's. Wide open looks, but if they aren't falling, drive it!!

Why didnt Matta call a TO at some point during that run?
Im all for letting your guys play through it, particularly at home. But on the road, with that kind of lead, no need to let the Gophers back in it without stopping the momentum of the home crowd at some point, imo.

Matta rarely calls timeouts. Hed rather them fight their way out. Helped they had a 21 point cushion too.

I think Dakich has more of an on-air ego than Bilas personally. And he talks way too much for my taste, but I agree that he knows his stuff.Laley23;1086154 wrote:Its very refreshing. He can analyze a play/game better than any other color man out there, imo. Jay Bilas would be close, but Bilas sometimes gets an ego on air. Though I do love him as well.

I said the same thing..why not call a TO when they hit 2 or 3 three's in a row?Laley23;1086220 wrote:Why didnt Matta call a TO at some point during that run?

I dont really mind it, usually. But that was an extended run that needed stopped. Minny got back in the game, and they were DEAD. At home I would never call TO, cause the crowd isnt a factor. But on the road, I would in a situation like that.Midstate01;1086233 wrote:Matta rarely calls timeouts. Hed rather them fight their way out. Helped they had a 21 point cushion too.

Loved seeing Amir Williams, Shannon Scott, and Sam Thompson get some extended time in there. I really think Amir Williams is a guy that can be huge when March hits. He kind of reminds me of an Anthony Davis-lite. Not near that level obviously, but can block shots and get offensive rebounds. A shot blocker would be tremendous with this teams defense.
