Was run to great success last year, with Goon doing a lot of the scoring and a few people including myself doing a lot of the picking for guys who missed the given time slot. Figured we should get it going again.

I think we should do 8 rounds (I think we got 8 in last year). If we dont complete a round, we will just revert back to the last completed round and lock the teams.

In order to maximize efficiency, we have to limit this to 20 people who participate. Based on the amound who compete in Azus each week, any more than that runs the risk. Ideally, I would hope those smae people take spots here so we know they will participate.

Draft will start at any point after I decide the order (randomly in a generator online) without a time limit. A time limit will start (8 hours, unless a majority wants it to be less...but I wont go less than 5 hrs), lets say, 8am on Saturday before Selection Sunday. Ill try to get the order up before the BE Tourney, since that week brings a lot of traffic and we might have a good shot at getting people on here at the same time to get a lot of picks done in a short period.

If you believe you will miss the timeframe for your pick, send me a list of players that will cover each spot and yours, in case by some miracle the people in front of you pick off your list 1 by 1 lol.

If I forgot anything let me know. Slots are now open, and Ill tranfer those who are in from the other thread when I go back and look again.

We pick after SS, it usually starts that night and then goes until Wednesday

Essentially, we all pick 6 players from teams in the tournament. The goal is to have the highest overall points scored total. So you have to decide if you'd rather have a guy who puts up 30 ppg for a 10 seed or a guy who averages 8 for a team that might win it all. We update the score totals throughout the tourney and keep track of who has been eliminated.

You have to go pretty far into it to start to see the scoring, because we deleted posts after each update so that we wouldn't have to do so much scrolling.

Goon posted the rules. Pretty basic, you pick players from teams in the tourney. Add up their total points and winner has the most. So, obviously, you want to pick the big scorers but couple it with the high seeds who will play multiple games. Thats the key.

Goon, I did look and saw we only did 6 rounds. Probably wont be able to get in 8, but I think we can get 6 again and start 7 and if we happen to finish, great if not, whatever. We will just use the last completed round.

Is everyone cool with 8 hour time limit once Selection Sunday is over (6:30pm), or do we want it to be 5 hours? Remember, Ill have the order up before SS, so we can hopefully get the 1st round and into the second round done. I dont remember any bubble teams players picked that early.

Laley, do we do a staggered selection (like fantasy league), and how do you determine who goes first, second, and so on?

Ill assign everyone a number (the order you signed up) and plug it into a random generator. Ill take the order of that and post the draft order. It will be a snake draft. So first drafts 1 and 40. Last drafts 20 and 21.

Oh we're trying to get it done in a 5-8 hour time frame? Not go Sunday night-Wednesday?

No, but the time limit between picks. So if someone doesnt check all day it doesnt back us up and I can pick for them.
