The problem with him was his Junior and Senior years, Cornell had two of the best Ivy League teams of all-time and they got the best of Lin's teams. Otherwise, Linsanity would have started in the NCAA Tournament...
So Cornell kept us from seeing Lin-sanity? Lin-sanity couldn't beat Cornell?

I've been a Knicks fan since the Charles Smith, Charles Oakley, Patrick Ewing, Anthony Mason, John Starks days and not even the Starbury, Scott Layden, Isaiah Thomas era could change that (even though it was insanely frustrating watching the franchise go to absolute ****). Those were some ROUGH years. Oh, props for mentioning my boy John Wallace in there. Those Knicks-Heat brawls/games were pretty legendary.

Allan Houston's game-winner vs. the Heat in the 1st round of the playoffs during that strike-shortened season (2nd time an 8 seed beat a 1 seed, I believe) and LJ's 4-point play are a couple of my favorite Knicks moments from back in the day.
I just can't get into the NBA anymore. I can't even believe I used to watch it and be a real fanatic about it. Im not sure whether it changed that much or if I outgrew it or what. Now the only thing I really care about is seeing Lebron not win a ring and that doesn't inspire me to actually watch unless it's the Finals and the NHL is not on.

Watching Lin last night, I found myself actually excited by it. Whatever happened to the NBA that existed during those Knicks-Heat brawls? I'm pretty sure it's not lime that anymore.

Oh and how could I leave my man Kurt Thomas off that list. Just thinking of some of these names brings back memories. I haven't thought of some of these guys in ages. LJ and KT40 were my two faves. Tho I did and still do have an authentic Spreewell jersey.

The last time the Knicks were relevant was when they had Clyde at point with the Pearl, Bradley and the gimpy legged Willis Reed. DeBuscher was on that team too. Oh yeah...Phil Jackson coming in off the pine...forgot about him.

How can you not have Middletown's finest Jerry Lucas in that group?

Hardly the last time they were relevant.

Some other Knicks I'd completely forgotten about, some real blasts from the past:

Rick Brunson
David Wingate
Chris Dudley
Othella Harrington

Hadn't thought about Marcus Camby in prob 10 years

Cornell had a much better team than Harvard. Lin was 2nd in the Ivy in scoring and Harvard was 21-7, but Cornell went 29-4 before losing in the Sweet 16.

I just meant had he made the NCAA Tournament people may have heard of him just like many other mid-major players have made their names known in the NCAA's.

Because I didn't remember him being on that team. I remember quite vividly Seigfried and Havlicek winning titles for Boston....and Lucas playing with the Royals with the big O.

I was too young to remember the great OSU teams in the early 60's with those 3 guys...along with second stringer Bobby Knight.

You have like 4 teams or whatever you stated. I thought it was pretty self explanatory, but not really surprised you couldn't comprehend it.

No I don't. And I've never said that. I only like one NBA team and it's been the same team for 20 years.

You're either confused or just making stuff up. So of course I didn't comprehend the fiction you're throwing out there.

I must admit, I'm already sick of him thanks to BSPN. They have ran this story into the ground.

I thought the same thing this morning when I turned on Sportscenter.

But is it really unexpected for the Worldwide Leaders in Sports Gossip to beat a story to death?

Anyway, like I said, just look at your mirror. Move on now.

You're still not backing up your claim. There's one NBA team listed there (Knicks). You just said 4 teams. Who are the other 3 NBA teams and where did you get that information because it surely wasn't from me. So you're still incorrect and just further proved it with that link. This make two threads that you've made that claim and failed to back it up. I said it then and I'll say it now, you can't dig it up because it's never been said by me.

I do like 2 MLB teams (one AL, one NL) so maybe you got basketball and baseball confused but this 4 teams in one sport stuff is nonsense and has never been said by anyone but you with nothing to validate your claim. But hey, if making stuff up and trying to pass it off as truth is your thing - go for it.
