What truck towing package do you have?

My truck had a little accident last week (not my fault), I have an opportunity to get a new towing package I’m going with new frame hitch with 5000 pound towing, hitch mount w/ 6000 pound 2” drop mount and hitch ball with 2" diameter, medium shank, 6,000 lbs GTW

The is a man's thread so please children don't comment if you don't your ball size. :laugh:

Do you have a transmission cooler?

(edit) Believe the towing package on the Ford I'm driving is 8000 pounds.

Sounds like a good set up for light duty towing. Verify mounting hardware is grade 8 or better and if drilling or cutting is involved shoot some form of rust inhibitor over the bare metal...or else! Also use some shrink wrap or melt in butt connectors on the wires not the crimp and tape style connectors. That should make for a long lasting install.
