And, last year's class was very similar. A lot of early recruits, and I think they only lost 1 due to wanting to take visits.

Anzalone lists Michigan in his top 5.WebFire;1091017 wrote:Michigan offered 4* LB Alex Anzalone (6-3, 220) from PA. A lot of offers, with big hitters being Alabama, Florida, MSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State and West Virginia.

Web is this a class where they are throwing out offers and it's first come first serve till the spots are filled?

FWIW, Notre Dame didn't offer. He confirmed it himself that they haven't offered, but that it wouldn't matter if they did. He is "committed to Michigan."

Several Michigan players on this list. Not sure if this is the perfect spot for this link, but thought it was kinda cool to read.

I guess I don't really know. However, it could be the case because they really seem to be going after higher ranked talent early on. Though they've offered quite a few before they were ranked and/or other teams were on to them. Hoke and Mattison seem to have a real eye for talent and potential.Midstate01;1091331 wrote:Web is this a class where they are throwing out offers and it's first come first serve till the spots are filled?

Seriously what is the big deal about using scholarships? Ohio State signed the top LS in the country last year. Notre Dame did this year. I guess its a good way to try to take a bad shot at Notre Dame, but its retarded thinking.

Dude, have a sense of humor. Michigan has a scholarship punter and 2 placekickers on the roster. I was jabbing at you since we had discussed it early. Hence the smiley, which you don't like anyway.karen lotz;1091522 wrote:#sodoesohiostate #sodootherprograms #thisisnttwitter

Let's see about that. I don't think it's as common as you think. I'd be curious to see some stats on it.karen lotz;1091549 wrote:my sense of humor is fine, which is how I know what you said was stupid.

Yeah I don't know about the average and lower specialists, but the top ones in the country are on scholarship.

I'm not trying to be a dick. I honestly am curious now. I know when Michigan signed the kickers under RRod, it raised some eyebrows amongst fans.karen lotz;1091583 wrote:Yeah I don't know about the average and lower specialists, but the top ones in the country are on scholarship.
