Not a hypocrite at all. Just stating a fact about my church. And if a gay wanted to come to my church, I would allow them. I wouldnt let them be a pastor or anything like that. I would be there to help them leave their sinful ways, thats all.

There is nothing in the Bible or Catholic teaching (I believe I read you are a Catholic on JJ, at least you're a Christian I know that much) about gays not being allowed to be in religious positions. There is nothing sinful about being gay. Homosexual acts are the sins, being a homosexual is not a sin by itself. So clearly homosexual individuals can be religious leaders... besides, in a lot of cases priests aren't allowed to have sexual relations with anyone... unless it's little boys then it gets covered up and put in the past.

But this is all assuming doing homosexual acts is also a sin. Sorry, but I don't take my logical reasoning from institutes that were set up in the past during a time where whole groups of people were held down by the majority... people of other religions, women, people of other ethnicities, etc.

And as far as deleting this thread... I think you just don't like being bashed and realized how big of hypocrite you are being.

Since this site doesnt keep up on its word about deleting, will a kind mod delete this thread?

There was an instance a week or two ago when a user deleted a large number of threads they started. Justin got a message or two from users wondering why their post counts were smaller. To avoid the hassle of those of us who volunteer to oversee things (regardless of how well it's being perceived that we are doing so) getting harassed over something out of our control, things got made where a user can't delete a thread they started.

I'd PM Justin about your desire to have this thread deleted if I were you. A lot of us who are mods are growing into our roles, as our first experience in this role started about a month ago. I personally have no desire to delete anything unless it is an official site action as opposed to something I want to do and, well, am going to do and that's that!

It's not a sin to be homosexual. That would be the same line of thinking if a person would say it's a sin to be black.

Just did a little research, and there's plenty more if you want to look it up yourself. All I will say is if you are gay, you are living in sin, and you cant become a Christian unless you turn away from those sins. If you remain gay after you accept Christ, then you didnt change your ways. And also, remember what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah?

Technically, I don't remember what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah. I do remember a story in some book that said they were destroyed for being the hometowns for people who were down with buggery and such. It really seemed to be clumsily written into Genesis, sort of like whoever wrote that book was a really big homophobe who was determined that he'd insert his anti-gay message no matter how forced it appeared because it didn't fit in with anything else that was being written....well except for the "kill ur kid 4 me! lol....just kidding!!!! noob!!!" part that was pretty close to the whole Sodom and Gomorrah bit, leading me to believe the same dude wrote both parts as sort of a 4chan a couple thousand years before the site was actually created.

Ok. You're missing my point--I understand that you think homosexuality is a sin and why. But what I want you to do is prove to me that God, in the sense that you believe in "Him", is real. Don't worry, I'll wait...
