Two gay men who say they were punched and pinned to the ground by an off-duty police officer before being called offensive names and jailed without their trousers have sued the city of Cleveland and its police over what they call anti-gay bias.

So the cop should be fired on the word of these two gay guys? Like these gay guys word is gold or something? I generally will defend gay people but these two don't seem credible. Multiple arrests and the article stated that COOPERATIVE arrestees are generally allowed to retrieve their clothes. These two sound like a couple of a-holes.

No corroborating evidence is cited. As this is the United States, hence, a presumption of innocence until proven guilty. They'll have their day in court.

Actually, yes. Young people have grown up around gays and lesbians. The older generation doesn't have a clue. Just ask Joe Paterno.

That's not true. Homosexuality has existed in every civilization throughout recorded time. It even exists in the animal kingdom. As far as the need to make more babies, let me remind you that this planet is woefully overpopulated. The planet cannot continue to house this many people forever. The fact that I don't make babies is a good thing.

Most of the "gay hate crimes" that I have read about usually involve younger people. I have not seen too many 50+ yr olds going around beating up on gay people.

I didn't say all young people are tolerant. But the under 35 crowd overwhelmingly votes for gay rights. It's the over 50 crowd that remains our problem.
