Eli is not elite end of discussion, he is in the very good category
and dont get me started on Colt Mccoy. Browns fans don't know how to be good, so now they have a good QB they don't know what hit them, when Cribbs is your 2nd option, you need some good Wideouts. Give him two good targets, he'd put up Eli's numbers in a year or two. Browns fans make me LOL

Eli is now in the elite category. And Welker and the rest of the bozos that dropped passes had more to do with the Patriots losing than the Giants defense did. If they catch the ball, the game probably turns out differently.

I think its funny that the standard for elite/non-elite was a missed hail mary attempt at the end of the game. Gronkowski catches that pass to win it and Eli and elite never touch the same sentence.

I don't think 4th quarter come backs should hold much water. You shouldn't be in the position where you're constantly having to win games on final drives. Just my opinion.

point proven. The Steelers have 6 super bowl rings. 3 different coaches since '69, and we never gave up on Big Ben when he went through troubles. TheRapist is also a TOP 15 draft pick, is as big as an offensive lineman (tough to bring down) and has a CANNON for an arm. Tell me you can say the SAME about Colt McCoy? I'm ALL for "staying the course" and "continuity" when the situation FITS but I'm not stupid enough to bet the farm on a "slight, weak armed 3rd round QB' (going into his THIRD year) when there will be better options in the draft/FA this year.BearBoy69;1077283 wrote:point proven. I wish they would've drafted a QB in 1999 that they could've stuck with but they didn't. I don't like seeing changes year in and year out as much as anybody elese but you don't just "stay the course" for the sake of doing it.
And part of the reason Pittsburgh has "stuck with" Roethlisberger and various coaches is that their ownership is cheap. Easier to pay player/coach through most of or all of their contract versus change.

Check the Alabama - LSU fraud championship game this year. The kicker should have won it, but it was given to the QB.
