Pirates didn't sign him. He's going to return to Stanford.

What a dumb shit. Turning down 3 million to go back into a deeper draft next year. Fuck him and Boras. I hope he drops into the second round next year.

So the Bucs get 2 first round picks next year.

10-7 loss to Milwaukee to start the second half of the season. Runs were there but pitching was obviously not. Gotta bounce back today.

If by bounce back you mean lose again then I agree 100%.

Bucs bounce back and get the Brewers 6-4. Go for another series win tomorrow with Burnett on the mound.

Pirates win 6-2 tonight. Cutch had a bomb of a shot for 442ft. He now has 22 HR's on the year.

Good to see them win after losing a heartbreaker the night before. Only thing that sucks is I'm falling asleep before the games are ending. Missed the ninth inning last night and Pedro's bomb after the rain delay the night before.

Absolutely needed a good start by Bedard. Now they need to win the series today. They have the advantage in the pitching match-up as McDonald >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Guthrie, but you never know how they'll perform on the road. Best team in the majors at home so far, but pretty mediocre away from there.

Bucs already down 3-0 in 1st. Pedro hits another bomb in the top of the 2nd to make it 3-1.

Yeah. I went outside for a bit to check the weather and when I got back to my computer, I saw McDonald gave up two homers in the first inning. Really don't need him to enter a slump on the mound...

Guthrie might be planning to kill the left side of his infield. Total meltdown going on. After the Jones homer, two straight errors, then he hits Barajas and gives up a two-run single to Barmes.

6-5 good guys. Still a ways to go..lol.

Former Pirates popping up in the majors.

Xavier Paul (utility guy a year or so ago) is the latest poor-hitting utility/pinch-hitter for the Reds.

Donnie Veal (Rule 5 pitcher from a couple years back) got called up to the White Sox. Thought he had potential, but the wasted Rule 5 year combined with injuries killed his career with the Pirates. I read he had great K numbers in AAA (over 1 an inning).

Top 3 in the NL Central all sweep this weekend. Tough to make up any ground/get ahead of the pack when everyone is winning.

At least Milwaukee went down in flames. They'd been doing good, taking 2/3 from both Pittsburgh and St. Louis, so a good series against the Reds would have made it a four-team race. Now, I can see them looking to sell (ie: deal Greinke).
