Yeah I could see Arizona being who he chooses now that RichRod is there.

He's made it clear that he wants to play QB and I'm guessing those 3 would all give him the chance. Nebraska has been running a zone-read/option offense for a few years now so he would fit in nicely there. Arizona has been a spread passing offense for a while now and it might take a few years before they can get the right personnel in there. Wouldn't Rutgers have to completely change their offense to fit someone of Fuller's ability?

I guess I was under the impression that Rutgers had the best shot because it's primarily close to home and coaching. Nebraska would offer him the best second option at DB if he didn't pan out at QB. They've had some high profile DBs over the years. Plus they don't really have a solid QB....Martinez is sketchy and I think Pelini would sit him if he had another option, but he doesn't right now.

We'll find out Sunday.

Fuller is announcing today at 6:30

Apparently it's down to Zona, Nebraska, and RU

No way he chooses RU without a coach hired yet.

He's either Zona's or your cornhuskers

This is an excellent hire, IMO, and this should keep their recruits in place (and with NSD on Wednesday, this came none too soon)

Rutgers may have just improved their situation. Schiano has always been more hype than anything. He turned the program around and recruited but his team never seemed to take that next step. Cristobal is a great coach. Good get

Yeah Schiano was great at getting them out of the shithole, but just couldn't take it that next step. Wasn't a great in game coach at all. I wouldn't say he's all hype though. He doesn't get that much hype really, at least that I saw while I was there.

The only reason he got this job is because of Bill Billichek.

Just saw that..donno what happened there. Apparently he did tell Pernetti he accepted, but maybe doing the same thing Schiano did when he accepted the Michigan job then reneged in order to up his contract w/ his current school?

I don't know where they'll go now...you have to think Pernetti is still trying to convince Cristobal to come; but damn that's pretty embarrassing for Rutgers that an FIU coach turned you down lol

Looks like it'll be Kyle Flood.

He was named interim coach when Schiano left.

I don't know about that yet. All their recruits have said they will stick w/ their commitment to Rutgers.

The whole staff is staying, including their OC Cignetti who was a main component to why they got such a good recruiting class.

But we shall see

That's what a lot of the fans are saying, even comparing it to Fickell last year.

But the administration seems to think he's their guy long term. Who knows. I personally think they did this to keep the coaching staff in place so the recruits would stay (worked), and they'll do a full search throughout the season and offseason for 2013.
