Sometimes a loss like the one GSP suffered to Hughes is what someone needs to take it to the next level. Until you fight a top guy you dont know what it is like. What happens when he comes up against someone who is just as fast or as strong as him. I just think the step he has to take from where he is now to becoming a Champion is huge. I would compare the guys he fighting now (minus Brandon Vera) as triple a type fighters and the next step being the majors. It might take him a fight or two to adjust to that level. Guys like Rampage, Machida, and Rua are smart and full of experience and one slip up or missed spinning back elbow could mean doom. I also need to see him on his back a position i dont remember seeing him in yet in the ufc.
I agree with 1 correction.
Matyushenko is not "triple a".
Since 2000 the man has only lost 4 fights.
Tito Ortiz in his prime.
Andrei Arlovski in his prime.
Lil Nog.
Jon Jones.
He has beat Lil Nog as well in that time period and also beat Pedro Rizzo in his prime. He is 17-4 in this decade with all 4 losses being against top tier fighters.

I've seen JJ Ambrose, good ground fighter.
He actually has like 9 or 10 submissions out of his 12 wins. One by "Brabo choke", its close to a Darce choke but pulled off from half guard instead of north/south. Not a choke seen that often.
Anyway, he's the only one I've heard of.

I will be checking it out at Applebees getting their half price apps and 3 dollar bud lights. Did anyone catch Chael Sonnen on Jim Rome today. Rome kinda asked him about the whole Lance Armstrong gave himself cancer thing it was pretty funny. Dude makes himself sound stupid but is just so funny.

After all the smack that Sonnen has talked. I can see Anderson being very focused and getting a very early vicious KO. I still think that if it Chael takes it to the ground he has the ability to beat Silva.

I wasn't suprised when Alves didn't make weight. He's a shorther version of Anthony "Rumble" Johnson.

Silva looks a bit older and skinnier than usual in that pic.

I really don't know who to pick in the Dos Santos/Nelson fight.
I'm going with Silva, Guida, and Hughes other than that though.

I'm probably one of the biggest fans there is of Roy Nelson but Dos Santos has looked great in his fights thus far and I think his speed overtakes Nelson. What Happens if Nelson wins by the way that has to put him up in the top 4 or 5 at hw.
