That was an incredible fight, just a war of attrition and guts. Jones is the best fighter on the planet, any combat sport. He is incredible and a once in a lifetime athlete and fighter. Loved the heel turn at the end, embrace it.

Jones is awesome but as far as P4P I think Cain is right up there with him.

I thought Cain would beat him before, not anymore. Best chance Cain would have is that endless gas tank.sportchampps;1692601 wrote:Jones is awesome but as far as P4P I think Cain is right up there with him.

Does Cain really have an endless gas tank? He looked totally gassed vs. JDS, but JDS was just worse off. I don't think that is any advantage at all vs Bones.robj55;1692603 wrote:I thought Cain would beat him before, not anymore. Best chance Cain would have is that endless gas tank.
If you would have told me that Jones would beat Gus, Glover, and Cormier by basically brawling with them, and using his iron chin a few years ago I would have thought you were crazy. He's unbelievable.

I say you have Jones vacate the belt, fight Werdum, and then fight Cain.

Not a UFC fan, but did watch the prelim fights on Fox Sports 1 to watch the local kid and was awesome to watch him not only win, but the reaction at the bar we were at when it happened. Here is an article about Garbrandt and a youtube video that tells a pretty cool story about his path.

You should change your stance on the sport, it's largely incredible and extremely competitive.bases_loaded;1692876 wrote:Not a UFC fan, but did watch the prelim fights on Fox Sports 1 to watch the local kid and was awesome to watch him not only win, but the reaction at the bar we were at when it happened. I don't have a stance lol, last time I watched it, Tank Abbott and Ken Shamrock were relevant. I will watch the local kid, but doubt I'll be buying any PPVs unless hes on them.robj55;1692928 wrote:You should change your stance on the sport, it's largely incredible and extremely competitive.

Cowboy is ridiculous! Fighting again on January 18 against Benson...
15 fights in 3 years, that's what they said on Saturday about Cowboy. Ain't no one does MMA like he does -- well, maybe ol' Snowman.

Not sure how anyone can not be a fan of Cowboy, he's a fighter's fighter through and through and always comes to throw down for the fans. Bendo has already beat him twice but their first fight was a classic and I actually barely scored it for Cowboy.OSH;1693266 wrote:Cowboy is ridiculous! Fighting again on January 18 against Benson...

Cowboy is that dude rushing down the tracks at 1, 000 MPH, without any care that the tracks ahead of him are broken. It isn't the years in the life, it's the life in the years I guess.

I was shocked to hear but my god the priorities of the commission are so fucking screwed up. Weed gets you suspended/fined but their will be no penalty leveled to Bones for coke?

I highly, highly doubt he has a real coke problem. He was a young rich dude who was partying, and this is the best way to not have to face the music.
Did he find out about this in mid December? To go into the fight knowing this was going to come out after would have to mess your mind up a little bit.

According to deadspin it's been rumored that he did have a coke problem and an insider to them texted "i'm surprised is took this long for jon to get popped for coke"Zoltan;1693654 wrote:I highly, highly doubt he has a real coke problem. I hope they fine him something substantial.

Interesting, he does have some erratic behavior that supports this haha. He's been walking through punches like he was coked up the last few fights too as well. (I know he was not actually on coke during the fight, or at least I hope not.)Raw Dawgin' it;1693674 wrote:According to deadspin it's been rumored that he did have a coke problem and an insider to them texted "i'm surprised is took this long for jon to get popped for coke"

There are some tests that aren't back yet. I think the post-fight drug tests?Fab1b;1693527 wrote:I was shocked to hear but my god the priorities of the commission are so fucking screwed up. Weed gets you suspended/fined but their will be no penalty leveled to Bones for coke?
I imagine something will come out after these tests are returned.

As long as he isn't a heavy heavy user coke is out of your system in 2-4 days. With weight cutting and fluids afterwards I would guess he's more on the two day side. As long as he stopped basically the day before the fight he should be fine on those tests. If he does test positive on those though it would overturn the decision

Lot's of speculation out there on how his TE ratio was super low on two different tests as well. Like .35/1, and .19/1. When Reem got busted I think he was 14/1.
Super low levels could indicate he was cycling on/off testosterone, but lot's of factors could be in play. I have a feeling this one is going to have lots of twists and turns.

I never pegged Jon for a steroid user, but who the hell knows. That is a very low T/E ratio.Zoltan;1693835 wrote:Lot's of speculation out there on how his TE ratio was super low on two different tests as well. Like .35/1, and .19/1. When Reem got busted I think he was 14/1.

It can be normal for people to have a lower ratio too. Normal is 1:1. It's not like Jones' are THAT different. If he normally has a low one, it could be in that range.robj55;1693844 wrote:I never pegged Jon for a steroid user, but who the hell knows. That is a very low T/E ratio.
