It was broken by Rob Lowe.....yes, Rob Lowe the actor lol

Lowe as Ed Neiro in Californication could be my favorite TV character of all time haha

Apparently, Rob Lowe (the actor) broke this news on Twitter.

Two ways of looking at it:
1. Bullshit.

2. With so much of the 'net blacking out today for the SOPA protest, Rob Lowe found an opening and is taking over this shit!

So basically:

1. Bullshit
2. Bullshit

Also I agree with S&L, his character on Californication was fantastic. I had a hard time believing that was him.

Yeah, the Deadspin just reports the tweets.

I would not have guessed Rob Lowe had NFL sources. And I would not expect him to beat Schefter to breaking NFL news.

The source isn't believable, but manning retiring is believable.

Could still be true, ESPN is actually somewhat slow to the punch as they do like to verify through their sources first on a lot of things, especially something this big.

Still, I call bullshit.

If true, I could see the Colts still keeping him around as a ast. QB coach to help mentor Luck.

If Manning retires, in 5 years Manning, Favre, Moss and Owens will all be eligible for the HOF. That'd be a heck of a weekend.

In a perfect world yeah, maybe that would happen but ya dont see too many players retire and then start coaching right away, let alone guys who have more than enough money for the rest of their lives. Some that do get into coaching are out for a few years before they really start to come back into it. They go out and enjoy their retirement and free time and then when they get that itch to be involved again they try to come back.

I think the only way that PM mentors Luck is if he is sitll part of the team as a player.

Ran the Rob Lowe Peyton Manning tweet past Manning's agent, Tom Condon, a little while ago. Was first he'd heard of it and said if ...

Manning was retiring it was news to him. I told Tom I had a feeling this wouldn't be the last call he got on this topic

I'm going to need a second source before I even start to believe it.

Not that I can't see it happening, just can't see it going down this way.

Archie Manning laughed at this notion and said "I think Peyton would tell me he is retiring"

My sources tell me Rob will star in an epic remake of "Deep Throat" with
aging porn stars and 4 finger circus clowns!
