It's been going on for 50 years...has a national champion ever made it to the NFL?

A quick Google search yielded me nothing

maybe jim kelly??

rex ryan??

He pushed me so hard, it was unbelievable," says Jim. "He wouldn't let me eat until I'd worked out. Sometimes there wouldn't be time to eat. Sometimes I wouldn't even come home because I hated it so much." But the practice paid off—among other things, father and son won a free trip to San Diego for the national semifinals of the 1970 Punt, Pass and Kick contest—and time has dulled any unpleasant memories.

Good question I suppose.

Thing is at that age ya gotta wonder how many of the winners are just kids who developed quicker than the others at that age and was just physically more mature for their age and not necessarily that great of a player.

Remember how much fun PP&K was when you were a kid? It was huge in our town and very year the age group winners got to ride on the local Ford Dealers 4th of July float the following summer. I never won it but my son did twice and got to compete at a Bengals game.

I was in it once. I won our town's and got to move onto the next level. They kid who won at that next level was like a monster sized kid and easily whipped all of us. We pretty much all caught up to him though when we were in high school.
