The infractions don't do anything. And this isn't just for him, it goes for anyone. No one really gives a shit.

Then what do we do? Either we start banning left and right, or just let the entire site continue to go to shit. Neither are ideal, but we did it to ourselves by being so lax for so long.

I think he's only had 1 or 2 short vacations.
That puts him at like 20 infractions. I can't believe he has durkie beat (but neither give a shit).

We start banning in my opinion just continuing temporary that get longer. There are a few people that are the leaders of the march to mindlessness and others who are following their lead and mimicking their incessant name calling and disruption of conversation. Get rid of the people who are the leaders and some of the others might get it.
CGW was being pretty humble tonight and Society is just out there trying to be an ass to him. Prevent society from doing that and CGW will see it, and he won't be as bad in the future. CGW can be a pain at times, but a lot of it is in response to people like society/sleeper.
That's the same reaon NON took a dive off the deep end last year... the incessant bs of like_that and CoA got to him.
You lose good posters when a few individuals are just allowed to be dicks all the time.

Something is wrong with it... I tried thread banning Society because he was being his normal self. And it let him back on the thread.

The BS on this site is as bad as it's ever been. Hell, at this point, Lotz is being a bitch on every thread he's on. The bad posters have made the good ones say "fuck it, why be civil when nobody else has to be".

Lotz has only ever been a "good poster" when he wants to be. I agree, particularly with Lotz. He starts out civil, then Thanks to bad posters it turns into HURR YOU'RE A NOTRE DAME FAN, at which point Lotz just trolls the shit out of them from that point forward in return. He usually has to be (and always is) provoked.

I was thinking moreso on non-ND CFB threads than anywhere else. IMO, he generally doesn't come into those threads like sleeper, cgw, sos, etc. does just to hardcore troll from post #1.

Let's say someone says "man Sully looks good after dropped from 280 to 260" and he would drop in with "are 280 lb players not any good". Just junk like that. He knows that he can prove there are 280 lbs players who are good, he knows that you didn't say it, his whole goal is just to try to make someone look stupid.

Lotz really has devolved lately... and no, he doesn't have to be provoked first. But this is exactly my point, because of a few individuals, it has brought down the standard of acceptable interactions and normally well behaved people are acting like assholes all the time. The CFB is as bad as ever.
