Did you get the Keurig to go with the K Cup you received?

Just bought a box of 80 cups at Sam's Club. It was like $40. Best price I found so far.

I assumed it was a thread about Kimberly Kupps.

If you Google K-Cups there are numerous sites where you can get regular or flavored blends. Walmart actually sells some of the variety packs.

You save a ton of money if you just buy a can of coffee and use the "My K-Cup Filter".

I bought one of those and it seems like the coffee is even more watered down.

You have to adjust the amount of coffee you put in it. I followed the directions and it was a little weak especially when making a 12 ounce cup, so I added more coffee to the K-Cup and it is fine now. You have to watch with some of the flavored K-Cups that are sold because some are made for 8 onces of coffee and when you have it set on 12 onces, the coffee is weak.

Yeah I've used the k cup filter and messed around with how much water and I usually make it strong now. I think the best price I've seen is either sams club or bed bath and beyond with a 20% off coupon. For registering on the keurig website they give you a buy two get two free coupon

I seen that coupon when I registered but have not used it. I am not a big fan of the flavored coffee that much, so I just buy it by the can or pick up some beans and grind them myself, you just have to make sure you don't grind them real fine because the K- Cup Filter doesn't do well with fine coffee grinds.

After seeing the last part of your statement I went to their website to register but can't find the friggin serial number on my machine. It says the number is either on the back of the drip tray or on the base of the machine. Only numbers on the base are the patent numbers.

Pull the drip tray out and the serial number is on a sticker where the tray slides into the main unit. You have to get down low and look straight in and you will see it.

If you are going to do this, you might as well just use a french press like IWP.

What makes Keurigs and "K" cups so great is the convienience and the simplicity of getting a a consistently brewed great cup of coffee without having all the hassle.
You pop a "K" cup in ...push a button... and in 30 seconds you have a great cup of your favorite coffee. With more brands now available in "K" cups, there is little advantage in trying to make your own. Hey, but if that's your thing...go for it.

We have a number of faves:

Green Mountain Half calf
Timothy's Decaf
Donut shop Decaf and regular
Barista Colombia
Folger's Foglifter
Green Mountain French Roast

Ummm...the cost of doing this is a big advantage.

I personally use the Eko Brew:

My comment was for the people that drink real coffee, not the different flavored coffee. I don't see where it takes any longer to use the K-Cup Filter for a cup of coffee in the morning. I do like to grind my own beans because the flavor and the aroma of the coffee is much better, so yes that is my thing. I have tasted the Donut Shop cups and they are not that bad, but you can get about 75 cups out of a pound of coffee for a lot less than it is going to cost you to buy 75 K Cups.
