He is very diverse, and very good. I voted PotC, but he is good in most movies. Even though it is a children's movie, he does a very good job in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as well.

I must be the only person in the world who didn't like Blow. He made a bunch of bad decisions, ignored his family and then he cried because his life went to shit and nobody came to visit him in prison. Boo fucking hoo.

But I will watch pretty much any movie just because Johnny Depp is in it. He is a very good actor.

I get that. But when it was over I just thought he was a dumb ass looking for pity, and I didn't feel the least bit sorry for him.

I would go Fear and Loathing and What's Eating Gilbert Grape as 1-2. But I've never seen the Ninth Gate or Finding Neverland.

I haven't seen some of the choices listed, but I love What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Edward Scissorhands and Blow.

I guess I am biased because of my age, but I preferred the Gene Wilder movie myself and Gene's portrayal of the character as well. I realize the Depp version was closer to the book, I just enjoyed the light-heartedness much more.

Fear and Loathing for me. One of my all time favorites.

Regardless of the quality of the movie, the acting in his role was great.
