But my stepdad has always provided for us just like we were his own children. We lived under his roof and followed his rules (and I still do, actually). I could never see myself telling him no in his own home. Do we get in fights? Yes. Do I say I don't want to do something he asks me once in a while? Of course. But like I said...his house, his rules. When I am at my dads house...it's his rules. It may sound complicated, but it really, truly isn't. It's actually really, really easy and makes a lot of sense to me.
I am assuming that you spent most of the time at your mom and stepdads place. That would def make a difference from the situation I am in where the boys stay with their dads most of the time.
It is great that it worked tremendously with ya

I did. My dad did remarry, though. My stepmom took a more passive role when it came to disciplining us but when we were at their house we were still expected to follow her rules. If we did not my dad would step in. That never really happened at all, but we knew it could and would.

And yeah I am glad I have the parents I have and that I was raised the way I was.

Here is a question for ya.

What about that dark looking mt dew flavor they have sometimes? What people love to drink that? Ya could say poor black people but that would be just redundant.

I think you should give proper credit to who initially said that about Mt Dew and grape drink. It wasnt me.
I just said what was already established earlier in the thread.
