Just found this stat website.
http://www.teamrankings.com/ncaa-basketball/stat/points-per-game
Has two separate categories
points by three pointer
and percentage of points by three pointer
Says 2011 but I think that it is updated to current games
Duke 31.7%
Baylor 27.6%
Question still stands where does the live by the three percentage begin?

After building a 60 to 38 second-half lead over Wake in Winston-Salem, the Blue Devils stop guarding the perimeter, miss a flurry of jumpers and the Demon Deacons go on a 21 to 2 run and eventually crawl back to within six points with under two minutes to play. Gut check time. That's the type of second-half performance that led to an Arizona knock-out punch in the regional semis last year.
The Blue Devils get the win, though, and improve to 8-0 on the year in the ACC. It was only the fifth time in the history of school that a Duke team finished undefeated in ACC road action for an entire season. There were some close-calls along the way, but it's quite an accomplishment. It doesn't happen very often in college basketball. Duke and Kentucky are the only major-conference teams with that distinction this season.

The correct barometer would be 3's taken as a percentage of FG attempts. Using that metric 38% of Duke's shots are 3's.OSU, MSU, and UK are all around 26%.Question still stands where does the live by the three percentage begin?
The cutoff point is subjective. I would think any team 10% above the norm would be considered a 'live by the 3, die by the 3" team. But, that is just my opinion.

I would love to see the Devils get a victory, but I just can't fathom one.
Given how the team has played at home and how the Tarheels have looked over the last two weeks, it seems unlikely.
Thornton would have to pressure Marshall into turnovers and the Carolina bigs would have to miss quite a few chippys. When the pace is slower Carolina got to the line and hit free throws, when the pace is quick, Duke can't contain Henson and Zeller in transition.
I expect Carolina to win by 8-10 points, but if Duke found a way I wouldn't be shocked either. Kind of how it has been for both teams.

Correction to my earlier post: Duke's 8-0 record on the road in the ACC this season marks only the fourth time an ACC team in history has capped a regular-season conference slate while going undefeated in the eight-game format. The Blue Devils account for three of those four unblemished seasons. That is a remarkable achievement.
Duke's 8-game ACC road winning streak will again be put on the line next winter as the Blue Devils will attempt to pursue the all-time longest ACC road winning streak of 24 games, which was, not ironically, set by Duke from 1998 to 2001.

With its sixth-place ranking in this week's Associated Press Top 25 poll, the Duke Blue Devils surpassed the Kentucky Wildcats as owners of the second-longest streak of consecutive Top Ten AP appearances in college basketball history at 92 straight weeks. Famed UCLA coach John Wooden led the Bruins to 155 consecutive AP Top Ten in the 1960s.

Obviously Coach K will forget more about basketball than we'll ever know, but I wonder why he doesn't ever construct an offense that doesn't live/die by the three. God knows they haven't had a reliable big man in forever, so if the three-pointers aren't falling, the offense isn't worth shit.

You could tell by how the season ended...blown out at home by UNC, ugly first round win in the ACC then losing in the second round...that the tournament was going to be bad. I thought they'd play some below-average game and win by single-digits then lose in the second round. Duke almost lost to a #15 seed a few years ago, too.
