Who are your favorite all time college football players and why?

(my list)
Robert Smith- A badass track runner also a stud on the football field. Plus, he's smart.
Jerome Bettis- Been a fan ever since running in a track meet at Eastern Kentucky, Jerome was competing for ND there also.
Watching him come off the turn in the 200m, that fast while being that big....plus, he was grunting every step, sprinted like a football player.
A trickle of urine ran down my leg at the thought of him coming at me full speed and trying to tackle him.
Joey Galloway- Saw him tear it up on the track too, at Bellaire Relays.
___________________________________________________________________

What can I say....the track speed guys are my favorite college football players.

Let's see the OC list of favorite college football players.

Vince Young and Reggie Bush. They made highlight reel plays almost every possession. LaMichael James is also up there, dude is beyond shifty

On defense I'd have to AJ Hawk and Ndamukong Suh, AJ was just everywhere, every play and Suh is probably the best DT in NCAA history. He just blew up plays like some oversized kid in Middle School

Terrelle Pryor, as much as it pains me to say it. I watched him for 3 years for all those home games and a few away games in person. The things he could do were simply amazing. Someone I didn't watch in person, my all-time favorite is Eddie George.

I also liked Krenzel, as frustrating as it was for someone who rooted against the buckeyes to watch him engineer clutch drive after clutch drive while seemingly having eyes on all four sides of his head

I have to vote for my classmates Jack Lambert, Gary Pinkel, and Nick Saban. When they played for Kent State, we were ranked in the top 20 in the nation.

In no particular order:

Rex Kern - Smart and reliable. Led Buckeyes to 1968 NC.
Archie Griffin - Heisman twice
Jim Otis - Smash-mouth fullback
Eddie George - Dangerous RB and Heisman winner
Cornelius Greene - One of the best Buckeye QB's
Randy Gradishar - A superb LB
Cris Carter - First all-American WR from Ohio State
Troy Smith - Probably my best overall QB
Andy Katzenmoyer - One scary LB
Art Schlichter - Addicted to gambling but a very good QB
Jack Tatum - If you never had the privilege of watching Tatum at DB you missed a lot
Paul Warfield - I appreciated him more as Browns WR
Jim Stillwagon - Not many defensive lineman get recognized
Keith Byars - Should have won the Heisman over Doug Flutie
AJ Hawk - Animal
Orlando Pace - Monster lineman
Chris Spielman - My favorite overall Buckeye. Classy individual.

Mike Doss. Grew up a Buckeye fan and he was my first real favorite player. Was so excited he came back his senior year and then won a national championship.

Malcolm Jenkins. Also a #2 DB, loved how he played and his passion.

Craig Krenzel. Not much needs to be said.

AJ Hawk. Great player, great representative of Ohio State.

Outside of Buckeyes, I liked Colt McCoy and Dennis Dixon.

Cameron Heyward. I watched the BTN interview him after his final home game and he was super well-spoken and a nice guy. When they asked him to reflect on his final college game in the 'shoe it looked like he got punched in the gut.
