LL Bean. I live in Chicago so I bought a jacket from LL Bean. You probably won't need anything major living in Columbus, but I got this coat. It's warm, water resistant, and blocks the Chicago wind pretty well.

Plus, their return policy is pretty great. If you don't like it, then return it...doesn't matter if you've worn it for a year (I'm sure if you destroy it they won't take it...).

I don't like walking any distance in the rain, let alone cold rain or snow without a jacket. Especially if I'm not going to be able to change clothes and have to sit in class wet and cold. Doesn't bode well for the grades.

My wife got me a soft shell Columbia jacket from TJ Maxx for Christmas last year. Only $50 there and it keep the rain off me and wind. I wore it out at football playoff games this year.

if you spend more than 30 seconds or a minute walking outside on campus you are doing it wrong. especially at YSU, too easy to get from either garage to any building by going building to building.

I don't like going building to building. It's annoying so I just man up and walk outside.
