He has a very good point here. It is very hard for places to fire mentally handicapped employees.ccrunner609;1074747 wrote:Sure it is.....I have no accountability and cant be fired. I have 100+ days in the "day off" bank, I have what might be the best retirement plan in the country and have full medical benefits that I hardly pay anything for. BTW, I work 8 months a year. Go fuck yourself..

$65k is a shitload of money? LOL, I make almost double that and don't have to punch a timeclock. Also, I like my job a lot. I actually work in an industry (Oil industry) that contributes to society. You do nothing except babysit overweight children.ccrunner609;1073902 wrote:and that is why i am smarter then all of you timeclock punchers. So everyone on this board averages a 34 ACT and makes at least 60k? We should just buy out The Ladders and make an elite job service with a message board. Seems like a flawless idea.
And 65k stretches pretty damn far in this economically depressed shithole we call Ohio.

You are correct; 65k STRETCHES pretty far, but it is not a shitload of money as CC stated. When someone is making around 250k, that is a shitload of money.ts1227;1075201 wrote:So everyone on this board averages a 34 ACT and makes at least 60k? I'm not sure if everyone on this message board got a 34 on their ACT, I know I didn't though.

Also, $65k is a good salary. No, it's not a "shitload" of money, but it's good money. The median family income in Ohio is less than $50k.

I was actually "unemployed" for about a week once. But I was laid off on a Friday and had a job offer on Monday. Didn't start until the following week. I had been interviewing for the new job already and it was the main reason I was laid off. I wanted to get the fuck out of Indiana.dwccrew;1075215 wrote:Unemployed web designer.

Either way, I actually am jealous that ccrunner gets paid $57k+ to do what he does.

Depends on the district, the sport, and the amount of years you've been there. Some schools pay well, others not so much.
I'm not sure what he coaches, but if it's just one sport and it's not football or basketball, then he's not making the 8k to get him to 65k. But if he's coaching multiple sports, then easily could.

I wonder if private schools pay more or less on average.
