Dumb. Never should try to spike it with 2 seconds left.

That clock hit zero, no way there was time left.

In preservation of human clock operation/error, this game should be over.
Putting 1 second back is simply for better entertainment.
The right call...IMO.

Refs made correct call on clock. Wisconsin made the BAD BAD clock management call with a spike with 2 seconds left... dumb.

I don't get it. Wasn't the playclock at 22 seconds when the ref spotted the ball? So to me the clocking was already ticking before they gave Wisconsin again.

You have to remember that clock doesn't display decimals. It could have been at like 1.2. So that first second wouldn't be a whole one.mallymal614;1036013 wrote:I don't get it. If they had snapped right as the ref started the clock rolling, it would have worked. But, they wasted a second, and as you said there's almost no way to pull that off in 1 second.wildcats20;1035995 wrote:There's no way a spike takes only 1 second.

It's gotta take more than 1 second to snap, drop a half step/step and throw it to the ground.ts1227;1036025 wrote:If they had snapped right as the ref started the clock rolling, it would have worked. But, they wasted a second, and as you said there's almost no way to pull that off in 1 second.

If you're an OSU fan, that would be about the only time you get wood.wes_mantooth;1036007 wrote:Anytime Bret Bielema loses....I get wood. Is that odd?

On that final play if you listen to the whistle....that signifies the play on the field may begin....but if you watch the referee he has his arm up in the air and swings it down and does not blow the whistle until his arm has already rotated 180 degrees....the clock started immediately as his raised arm moved....kinda was the difference, but you gotta just run a play to the endzone.
That play on the long reception where Oregon recovered was just impossible on about 3 levels....that was the game.

As soon as referees hand started down it went to 1.....had to have been 1.1 or 1.2

It's too bad Wisky couldn't pull it off, but it's nice to see Bielema lose, and make a huge blunder along the way

I thought Wisky had the talent to play with Oregon, they seem to bumble big games away though.

Agreed, but what I was saying was had they snapped it quicker, they could have done it in the 2 seconds they had.wildcats20;1036038 wrote:It's gotta take more than 1 second to snap, drop a half step/step and throw it to the ground.

That's not something I would ever try. Too risky. Run a play.ts1227;1036106 wrote:Agreed, but what I was saying was had they snapped it quicker, they could have done it in the 2 seconds they had.

Bielema must have went to the Les Miles school of clock management
