Sure, there are no "hype" QB's like Luck, but that doesn't mean someone won't shoot up the draft boards after the senior game/combine/private workouts and turn out to be great. Happens almost every year it seems.

I agree there's still time but I just don't see that guy this year.if there is 2 guys I could see are Tyler bray and Landry jones.

For some reason I have watched 4 or so Tennessee games this year. Bray has the skill set, but his decision making is bad.

Didn't realize it until I read Terry Pluto's PD article but in 4 trips inside the red zone we didn't throw into the end zone once.

That is crazy.

^^ pat shurmur thought field goals could win the game. i have NEVER seen a team make it in the red zone like we did today and just fucking check it down. no shots at the end zone what so ever.

It's pretty much unfathomable that someone could coach like that.

So you punt it at your opponents 40, but go for it at your 30. I'm at a loss for words, literally. Haven't been at a loss for words since Rudd's helmet.

wasn't there some BS in the pre-season that basically insinuated that Shurmur purposely threw short of the first on purpose and wanted guys to get the 1sts by fighting for them? If you fucking throw short of the first in this league, you're not going to get the god damn first most of the time. I would not mind seeing him sent to the Citgo during the bye week. Really, REALLY bad fucking coach. This team isn't that far away either, which is sickening.

I have wondered that as well. I figured after the first year they would have gotten rid of it.

According to my zero sources in the NFL, look for Haslam not to fire Shumur this week.

I don't really think it'd be that big of a deal to suffer through Shurmur the rest of this year. It's going to be a rough season anyways, might as well stay with Shurmur, then hire your guy at the end of the season after you can Shurmur.

The downfall with this scenario would be us somehow finishing on like a 3 game win streak or something and haslam giving him another year.

That's the same downfall as going with an interim coach like Jauron that's already proven to be an awful head coach (1 winning season in 9 years) and having them win 3 straight to end the season. It happened to the Chiefs this year with Romeo.

I don't see shurmur saving his job at all.

Exactly why I don't want to see Shurmur fired during the season.

I think we should can Shurmur today, appoint an interim and make it clear that they will NOT be considered for the HC job next year. Let him coach, and if he's a good coach, he'll be auditioning for another team. If he's a bad coach, he'll tank because he's pissed he can't become the HC. And if he really lights it on fire, maybe go back and consider him.

Either way, I do not want numbnuts to be given another year because he pulls a miracle and beat the Steelers twice, or something along those lines.

So you want to name an interim for the betterment of himself, rather than the Browns. We have no shot to make the playoffs if Shurmur is fired mid-season..and if no interim is going to be considered, I dont see a point in it. Ride Shurmur out and get a top 3 draft pick.

There is no way Shurmur gets another year.

Theyre are 10 teams w 3 wins 2 with 2 and 2 with 1. We dont really have a lot of rough games left. I could see us going 3-4 in our last 7 and ending up with like the 8th pick. I agree we might as well keep shurmur but we wont be picking top 3.
