What do you mean by the "It's coming, people....." comment?

What is coming, a victory? Picking Browns over the Bills?
"Winning"...that's what's coming. A change in culture. I expect the Browns to beat the Bills this weekend. Doesn't mean they will but I do expect their first win this Sunday with Richardson outshining Spiller.

Wow. That's a big statement.

Too early for the change in culture comment (imo) but Richardson and Weeden did look a heck of a lot better last week against the Bengals than week one Eagles.

edit- To add more about the "change of culture" comment. I don't think you can have a change in culture after just one speech or one good game. Change in culture takes multiple seasons.
I agree with you that one or two star players can make the difference in a change of culture but I just need to see more first.

Is it Sunday yet....Wow that was a great article! I love these young guys coming in making a difference and not affraid to be bold and tell the team how it is...especially these veterans who have just seemed to accept losing. This is the first step in changing the Browns culture! As I was reading that article it got me pumped up, I really hope it shows out on the field Sunday!

(I really think we are about to see something special Sunday. With Jim Brown in attendance I think Richardson is going to send a message not only to him but the entire NFL!)

Hey, unlike some of us (YOU) who'd rather have the team sabotaged and go 0-16, so they get THEIR way, a few of us DO see a "light at the end of the tunnel" with these young guys. Keep on keepin' on, Negative Nancy...

Yeah, how dare I want one BAD season to get a franchise QB (an actual franchise QB, not a 30 year old guy taken in the 20s) and set the franchise up for the future, over a bunch of 8-8 seasons.

Sorry BR, but the entire world laughs at the fact that Weeden and Richardson are going to "bring the Browns back!!!!"

I want us to win every single damn game. But we're still pieces away from seriously competing, and the best way to get pieces is through the draft. So, if we have a terrible record, while it will f**king suck, there's a giant silver lining.

There's no "silver lining" tanking a season and going 0-16. Just friggin' horrible.

Do you think fans of the Colts are all terrible fans since they were perfectly fine with their terrible season last year?

I know a lot of Colts fans (growing up a couple hours away, used to live in Indy, etc.), and not one of them gave two shits about last season. They wanted to win every week, cheered like hell for them to win, but when they lost they knew it was for the best. That's what I'm saying. It's called being smart.

But no, lets keep drafting QBs in the 12-24 range and continue mediocrity. /BR

I'd rather go 0-16 than 8-8 (of course assuming you miss the playoffs).

Who the fuck cares if you don't make the playoffs? What did our 10-6 season with DA do for us? Just gave us a worse drafting position which is KEY to success in the NFL.

Lol sorry BR, but your philosophy is outdated.

It's called being "stupid." You have a hair so far up your ass because of our "29 year old QB."

I'd rather see this team WIN, move forward WITH Shurmur (who called a helluva game Sunday, BTW, despite the bitching & moaning about him) and build from there while a select few others would rather the team suck so they "get THEIR way." I don't want to go through ANOTHER 4 year rebuild when Haslam comes on board like a few here seem to prefer.

Who would want an 0-16 season? It's not about where you draft, it's about who you draft. If it was about where you drafted, the Browns would have won 5 Super Bowls by now. The Patriots are constantly at the back end of the draft. The difference between their draft and ours, they don't have NEARLY as many misses on their picks as we do.
I'd rather be competitive and win games and do a better job drafting quality guys vs. going 0-16 and blowing the pick.
And don't tell me you want to tank for Barkley? He looks a lot like the typical USC QB to me. (Leinart, Sanchez, Cassel)

Called such a great game, he couldn't even win a game that they statistically dominated? LOL GTFO, Derpmer sucks, stop sucking the dick of everything this organization does. The Browns have had what? 2 winning seasons since their return? 1 playoff game? 0 playoff wins? And you will continue to support every move they make lol you're pathetic.

I don't have a problem with Weeden personally. I'm sure he's a cool dude. Probably works hard. Good for him. He's not a good NFL QB and will never lead a team to the Super Bowl. THAT is what I have a problem with; well, that and the fact we wasted a first round pick on him. Key word-wasted.

We don't draft QBs well because we try to "steal" a QB--Quinn, Weeden, McCoy, etc. The key to winning in the NFL is first and foremost, get your franchise QB. We have NEVER had a franchise QB since the return, so forgive me if I want the first overall pick so we don't have to reach on someone outside the top 5 picks. We'll get the best QB prospect, and if we happen to fuck THAT up, I'm moving to Canada and following hockey.

I knew you weren't bright but this confirms it. Big difference between "calling a game" and "in game decisions." Shurmur CALLED an EXCELLENT game against the Bengals. He played to his offensive players strengths and put them in a position to win. Not his fault the defense sucks, can't cover a receiver and tackles like the Keystone Cops.

Yet in week 1 when the defense was phenomenal its not his fault the offense sucks, right? Who gives a shit about any of that, hes the head coach, everything is on him. You have to win games you shouldn't, derpmer can't even win games he should...but ya, its the defenses fault lmao

If he called an excellent game it's literally the first one since he's become the coach. He's terrible. Also, I'm with durk, browns blow them out by a 60 yard GW Dawson fg.

Shurmur calls the OFFENSIVE plays (still). Childress DOESN'T so the offense is on HIM (Shurmur). Shurmur has NOTHING to do with the defense. That's on Jauron.

And who said anything about the first game? The offense looked like shit. I've SAID that. I said Shurmur called an EXCELLENT offensive game against Cincinnati and put his OFFENSE in a position to win. He didn't necessarily do that in the first game. Now, he could come out and lay an egg in his next game plan (against Buffalo) but the fact that there was progression from week 1 to week 2 leads most people to have optimism.
