Don't feel too bad, Andy Reid is a molder of QB's. He can take a can of shit and turn it into a gourmet meal. He's made guys like Jeff Garcia (late career), Kevin Kolb, etc look pretty good in that system.

very true. I feel we have the opposite...Shurmur could make Peyton Manning look like Mark Malone

Agree with this. Especially after reading the earlier post from the OBR about them intentionally throwing short of the first down and expecting the WR's to fight for it.

I know it would never happen but if Shurmur wants to get the most out of Weeden he's going to have to mold the offense ala Cam Newton as a rookie. Weeden needs to be in the gun a lot more than he is. He's not exactly fleet o' foot.

We went through that same thing last year with Colt.

He was clearly more comfortable going from the gun, but that was completely unacceptable to Shurmur because it was not consistent with his system.

It is not hyperbole to say he would rather lose games and his job this year than to run a bastard version of his system even if it gives the team a better shot to win games. There is just no flexibility there.

If the O-line play doesn't see a drastic improvement some how (we have the worst guard play probably in the league) then we need to see Weeden in the gun more, but it still just won't happen sadly.

I loved the Decastro kid in the draft, thought he was going to be a beast. Probably faking the injury so he doesn't have to protect a scumbag POS rapist, or block for an unpatriotic dickbag like mendenfail. Props to you DeCastro.

If this injury is an MCL/ACL, no, no he won't. It's one thing for a RB to come back from an injury like this but a 300 lb O-Lineman is a completely different story. If Decastro has an ACL/MCL, he'll never be the same player. Was glad we didn't take him in the draft (liked the Zeitler kid, who the Bengals took, better), am even happier (not for his injury) that we didn't take him now.

Rizzo is getting his own late night talk show on Fox 8. Does this mean he is done in knr?

Doubtful. Doesn't he still do sports on TV?

Yeah I think. But this show is live...so I can't picture him doing the morning show on knr anymore

He's not going anywhere on KNR. The Really Big Show is a cash cow for the station, and I think he is making pretty good money at it. I think he is just going to be pulling double duty like he was when he was working at Fox 8 as a sports guy and doing radio in the morning.

Updating a previous item, Montario Hardesty was held out of
Browns practice Sunday with a lower right leg injury.

This explains why Brandon Jackson worked with the first team.
Hardesty has been about as brittle as they come since entering the league three
years ago, so any injury raises an eyebrow. We'll update his status when we know
more. Aug 26 - 2:49 PM

For me it's not so much the injury history as much as Hardesty giving up "gimme" TD's by putting the ball on the turf.

I agree. If a rb hasn't shown something within 3 years, it is highly unlikely he ever will. The lifespan of the position is just too short to waste a roster spot for too long.

If they dump Hardesty, they must be 100% sure T-Rich will come back healthy. I'm not so sure...

I want to know where the hell this awesome Massaquoi and Little are. Everything I've read up to this point is how great MoMass has looked (sounds like every season) only for him to disappear on game day. Little has no excuse to run as terrible routes as he displayed against the eagles. I hope the coaching staff can correct this before the start of the season. I'm of the mindset that it's just time to move on MoMass.

Little has been a disappointment, so far, this year. I'd heard so much about the "great shape" he was in, etc. MoMass? Meh, I'd expect as much. Guy can't be relied on.

What is really interesting to me is I had my fantasy football draft last night and not 1 Brown's receiver was picked....that means guys were taking backups from other teams before even looking at what the Browns have. That shows you how pathetic the WR's are.
