pick6 isn't a troll...relax

I have a problem with both the negative and positive comments on the Browns...preseason means NOTHING, so there's no reason to be on either side of this fence.

Yep, but I root for the Browns as well, being that I live in NE Ohio.

Now plz give me some lecture on why I am and am not allowed to root for certain teams.

Ehh I wouldn't say preseason means nothing. It's nice to see some improvement game by game. Also, I truly don't understand how you can make it to the NFL level as a WR and still run shitty routes. WTF have you been doing the last 10 years of your career??

Exactly. All I was looking for was improvement by the 1's on offense and I saw a lot of it last night. Couldn't give a crap about the 2's & 3's. As long as the 1's continue to make strides I'll be cool with it. I expect them to start the regular season slowly and expect the "light bulb" to go on about mid-season.

Sorry, our baseball team is rocking shit and our football team is coming off a playoff year, so not near the need to talk about the Bengals hopes. Just wake me up when the season starts. :)

But seriously, that is pretty bad. I just watched the Bengals first preseason game 2 nights ago and have been pretty busy plus watching or going to every Reds game. My preseason NFL prep is about at an all time low, but I'll take it with what the Reds are doing.

I just mean it has no bearing on how were gonna do in the regular season. We've seen good preseasons, get all excited, then whatever we saw in the preseason just doesn't happen and we blow and look incompetent.

It is nice to see them make improvements, sure...but unless they can continue those improvements into and throughout the regular season, ill continue to not be too optimistic about the future of this organization.

Stranger things have happened. If healthy, they have a really good chance.

Without looking it up, didn't the Lions go 4-0 the year they went 0-16?

I'm pretty sure the lions went like 4 years without losing a preseason game and were horrible every year.

I believe so...didn't they go like 3 or 4 seasons without losing a preseason game?

If that's the case, the offense better pick up their skirts and kick it into high gear. I'm optimistic about the future but don't see it happening this year. This team is just way too undisciplined from it's route running on down to the penalties.

Or maybemaybe it was they had the best preseason record over a 3-4 year span of any team in the NFL. And never had a winning record regular season.

Try telling that to last year's Frisco fans. Or the Atlanta fans a few years ago...

What were the gurus saying when Derek flippin Anderson took the Browns to 10 wins before the season started a few years back?

This is pro football dude. Teams surprise every year. I picked the Wahington Nats to run away with their division this year before it started. Pretty delusional pick there too, don't you think?

Well no shit...they will have to play really well. Obviously, I think they will. But you and many others have no business bitching about the offense last night. Both McCoy and Weedon moved the team at will. Take away a holding penalty on Thomas, and 4 dropped passes and the carnage the Browns whipped on GB would have been even worse.

The nationals actually have talent and coaching. And superstars...who on this team is a superstar?!

The media guys would have been wrong about that DA team because they didn't even make the playoffs let alone win their division.

And what are Frisco fans?

The 49ers have a shit ton of talent though. Also yes, you were delusional if you picked the nats to run away with the division before the season started

If you make an outlandish prediction every season it is bound to eventually come true. You have diluted the meaning of your "bold" predictions. I can see the day when it finally comes true and you try to brag about it.

Also, the Nats prediction was not that bold. Everyone said they would be pretty competitive, and maybe even a playoff spot, however they thought they were a year away. You weren't necessarily going out on a limb with the nats.

You are right about the Lions. And conversely, the Colts with Manning over 8 years had the worst winning percentage in the preseason over that 8 year span.

Many coaches don't care a crap about winning exhibition games. teams that need to sell tickets often do...like the Browns this year for example.

With all that said, it was fun watching the Browns kick the shit out of Green Bay last night.

Derek Anderception also had proven receivers in Braylon (ready to breakout at the time), K2 & Joe J. If we had one of those type of players on this team I might be inclined to have a bit more optimism, Footwedge.

These guys are going to need some seasoning. Is the upside/talent there? Sure, but the chances of that type of "perfect storm" happening are about as likely as Grady Sizemore avoiding his annual vaginal infection amd going on the DL.
