Just another article on Taylor. He messed it up lifting weights...so I guess having guys like Rucker, Parker, Hughes and Winn might be useful after all. I could see Winn winning a job now that Taylor is more than likely out for the year. We'll see what Hughes can do this off-season.

Anyone have a confirmation about Taylor? PD is saying it could be partial tear and waiting on results.

Oh I'm not sure. I got an ESPN alert that Phil Taylor was injured, then it said he was out for the year. I can't find that confirmed anywhere. OBR says he's not displaying signs of a full tear which is giving me some hope he'll be able to play at some point this season.

There has been no confirmation of the severity yet. 92.3 (I will still listen to Bull & Fox periodically on the way home if they're talking Browns) had a doctor on yesterday afternoon who said, depending on the severity, it could be a 4-6 week injury to a full year. Didn't sound like there was any "in between" so Taylor could possibly be ready by training camp OR he's done for the year.

Since Taylor is out, they should sit Haden, Ward, Sheard, and Rubin to insure they get the #1 next year. No reason to improve this year.

Nope..the organization made their choice, they wanted Weeden over a top 3, franchise QB next year. So this is what we have to live with over the ~5 years

Yes, you did read incorrectly. The point is the browns were gonna lose regardless of how the draft went, so why reach with a 29 year old mediocre QB? Some posters are making it way more than it is.
