I am all for a good O-line, but what is with the mental block in this city against anyone that is capable of helping us point points on the board at a skill position?
God forbid we have a great offensive line! Oh NO! Let's pretend we are playing Madden, because we have impatient cleveland fans who will cry at the thought of a non sexy pick. Blackmon is good, but not so good where I think he is the clear top pick over the other WR picks. Everyone already knows my stance on RBs, they are dime a dozen. If you have a good O line, you can have a good running game. No sense in burning a first round pick on one.
Now cue failhook chiming in with an ignorant "yeah that sure has worked for the Browns the past 12 years."

Also take it FWIW but a long time respected poster on the OBR, who doesn't just throw shit out there, is claiming he spoke with an NFL Insider today and the insider has heard that Holmgren will call it "quits" after the draft. Again, just passing it along so take it FWIW.
I agree about Coples. Great comparison with Warren. Highly doubt Holmgren walks. Yeah, Lerner is just going to let Holmgren make decisions that can affect the team for years, and then let him walk. Lol ok.

So you think Holmgren is going to shit on the organization by making a stupid ass pick (tannehill at 4), and then bolt?
You only see that type of shit in movies.

You are reading way too many bleacher report articles and smoking a lot of Weed if you think Weeden (no pun intended) is a good 37th pick.

This. It's crazy how last year people were talking about the H&H plan, and how it was going to take time. All of sudden after this season, everyone is freaking out and they want the Browns to make these knee jerk reaction draft picks/FA signings. I can't believe how many people actually thought the Browns should have given up 3 fucking first round picks for RG3.
BR1986FB;1133039 wrote:By the draft chart, for the Browns to trade #4 to the Cowboys, the Browns should get #14 (1st rounder), #45 (2nd rounder), #81 (3rd rounder) and a 2013 1st rounder. Let's say they leave the 3rd rounder out of it...how bout Miles Austin to replace that pick? Anybody want to trade down?
EDIT: Apparently the Boys' are balking as the Browns have asked for Demarco Murray in the deal.
I would be a huge fan of that trade, even if you didn't have Miles Austin replacing the 3rd pick.
shook_17;1133062 wrote:yes there is, this team doesn't have a legit qb. colt mccoy is 0-10 vs the AFC north.
And you think Weeden would be that QB? Excuse me while I LMAO.
BR1986FB;1133094 wrote:If Weeden isn't 28 years old he's a top 10 pick in this draft. Where was McCoy drafted? Oh yeah, 3rd round and that was ONLY after Holmgren stopped his freefall. Otherwise, he's probably taken in the 4th or 5th.
No he is not. He is hardly impressive. I wonder if people were saying the same thing about Chris Weinke. The dude is already 28, there is not much room for anymore upside.
BR1986FB;1133152 wrote:Call me a "hater" as much as you want. I see what most people see, that's he's NOT a legit franchise QB. Apparently this regime saw the same thing trying to trade up for the rights to both Luck & RG3 so their opinion must be "biased" too.
Weeden sure as hell isn't.
