Look at the FUCKING schedule. This team was HISTORICALLY bad on offense, they look like they are going to sit on their hands in FA in areas where they COULD add affordable starters (RT/vet WR like a Smith or Doucet), a bunch of "green" rookies are going to just step in, set the world on fire and be our "saviors" AND they are playing a MUCH more difficult schedule? Think I have some magic beans to sell you.
If it makes you feel better, I think the Bengals are going to come back down to Earth, in a BIG way, this year. As a matter of fact, I could see the division winner being around 9-7.
Cleveland media is jaded. When you read, listen to, watch these jaded journalists all the time, it tends to make you bitter. I see it in many Cleveland fans who live in northeast ohio. It seems the Browns fans outside of northeast ohio are not as bitter, because they don't have to listen to dumbfucks like Rizzo QQ every day, and make something more than it really is. "OMG Heckert said such and such, he doesn't give a fuck about the Browns, he is just collecting a paycheck!!!!" "QQ Holmgren was being a rude prick to the caller, he doesn't care about Cleveland fans and their feelings!!!" That's the cleveland media in a nutshell.
Also, who the hell are the "ultimate homers" here? Deydurkie is the only one here who has been predicting a good season. If you look at his track record he has been predicting playoffs every year, so I tend to think his predictions are mostly in jest, but if the Browns do somehow pull off a good year, he will gloat about how he "called it." lol.
You guys are getting depressed over nothing. Heckert said don't expect much in FA, you guys knew damn well they weren't going to make a splash, so why cry about it now?
