I wonder if he referring to getting fired for screwing it up or having a heart attack. Either way no big deal to me that he said it.

agreed....also , in 5 years we could be losing Taylor, Rubin Haden etc....will not be able/afford to keep them all....we have to actually attract some interest in free agents by at least being interested.....I keep getting the feeling that 1. Free agents don't want to come to Cleveland and 2. the front office attitude of "thats fine we don't need them"

On another note, I am watching the NFL Network and they had some mocks up (though free agency hasnt started yet so a lot of things can change) One guy had the Browns trading up for RG3 the other 2 said no way....Washington is willing to do whatever....Lombardi then said " I am not saying that the Browns are going to pick Tannehill at 4 but I am saying that they find Tannehill more appealing than RG3.....also said that if the Browns really want Griffin they should aggressively talk with the Rams RIGHT now while other teams are concentrating on Manning....give them a take it now offer.......now before I get all these " Lombardi is a hack, " comments....I am just putting it out there what was said, not that I agree with the guy, but if what he is saying is true I would be upset to find that H&H find Tannehill appealing

I'm ALL for building through the draft but come fucking on...if they grab a young, affordable OLB (Woodyard-Broncos or Hawthorne, who I mentioned from the Seahawks), a corner (Richard Marshall-Cards or splurge on a Finnegan-Titans) along with a young/vet WR (Garcon) all they need is a RDE (via the draft) and the defense is MORE than legit and YOUNG. Then you work on the offense with draft picks...it's not THAT difficult but I get the feeling he's going to plod along and let this "window" close.

As far as your second comment about Tannehill? Wouldn't surprise me. Instead of biting the bullet and getting the QB, they want to show you how "smart" they are by shining the proverbial "turd." Taking a project like a Tannehill and molding/grooming him into what they want makes them look like "geniuses" IF it pans out. Sometimes these (not only Cleveland's) regimes think too much for their own good.

Keep in mind that Lombardi has seemed to hold a grudge against the Browns ever since they fired him.

I read yesterday that while everyone is working on the Peyton Manning sweepstakes, the Browns seem to be the frontrunner for Flynn. Personally, I don't know if Flynn is much of an upgrade over McCoy because he can't throw the ball downfield. That's been his biggest downfall in his limited opportunity. Anyways, I would at least be okay with signing him and then drafting some skilled players in the draft. Trent Richardson at 4 and then WR at 22 wouldn't be a bad place to start, or Blackmon at 4 and RB at 22.

Well, apparently Aaron Rodgers should be Flynn's agent as he's already claimed that he's a "top 15 QB" per Peter King's Twitter.

The issue with Flynn throwing the ball down the field may be why Washington passes on him in free agency with the way their offense is set up.

4.41-4.46...still do NOT want. Hopefully the Rams do though and don't want to trade lower than #4. :D

Way off subject, but what were the rumors behind kokinis' firing? This is a work discussion.

Banging one of the office personnel. Mangini was jealous that "Koko" wouldn't give him a whirl...

Any more insight than that? Rizzo always builds it up (maybe it was his actual firing) as a story for the ages but will never share it on the air.

I know Kolkinis would sleep in his office, come to the office late, etc... I remember there being something about him having panic attacks and unable to make decisions as well.

So let's just say they do sign Flynn. Do they trade back a few spots and take T-Rich, Blackmon, or what?

Since the new uniforms from Nike are coming out April 3, I decided to add some controversy by adding some new Browns uniforms from Nike
