One of the best matches of the tournament will come at 145 if Alec Mills of Mifflin and Dakota Hook of Nelsonville York meet up, that would be one to see.

two other good match-ups could be Connor Blacka (Johnathan Alder) vs. Brad Kakos (Franklin Heights) and Tyler Majoy (Edison) vs. Carl Moody (Nelsonville York)

This is Richmond Edison not Milan. Watch for 126 to have some great matchups. 126 will be flat out loaded Blacka JA, Feucht WJ and Vanbibber Logan.

Format for this year will be a double elim 16 man bracket. Reasoning for this is Nelsonville-York is in the state duals Sunday and we need to get on the road as soon as possible Sat night. We are hoping to be done by 7:00 Saturday. Next year we are going to 4 pools of 4 and then moving them out. This should be some great competetion.

NY wrestles Saturday then travel clear to the NW part of the state for State Duals???
Thats BRUTAL!!!
How long is the drive?
Will there be an additional 1 lb allowance at State Duals due to NY competing Saturday??

16 man bracket in a one day tournament can get messy. If kids lose the first match and wrestle back for third place, you could run into OHSAA's ridiculous 5 match limit causing kids to forfeit the consi finals match.tric118;1032458 wrote:Format for this year will be a double elim 16 man bracket. N.Y. had several injured wrestlers earlier this season. Can they fill out a dual line up for the state duals?

We wrestled 13 against Athens with injuries and won. The drive is 4:30 however we are taking a charter bus so that will help and yes we should get an extra pound, however that is not confirmed. We hope we don't run into any problems with the 5 matches my guess is most brackets will only have around 12 to 13 so we should be ok. We will have a tie breaker in place if it happens.

Bye lines go 3, 13, 11, and then 6.
Then (should there be the need) it would go 7, 10, 15, and the 2.
Then (hopefully there's no need for these but lone 5, 12, 13, and then 4.
Best of luck to the Buckeyes as they host and compete in the tournament, and then in the State duals. Here's hoping everyone remains healthy!!! (I mean, hey, the 28th is just around the corner!!!

Nope Dakota Mays still out, 2 more weeks. We are trying to get ready for March. Wish we could wrestle at full strenght each month but that seems out of my control. lol.
I would say no to crock pots we have no outlets in the hallways. We have never had them before that I no of.

This really stinks. This team was really looking solid to win it all!

McLauglin and Feucht in semifinals will be a good match winner vs Blacka.
