Talk about gifts that backfire... My dad warned me to never get your wife an "appliance" as a Christmas or birthday gift so I was reluctant when my (now) ex-wife wanted a vacuum cleaner one Christmas. She was honestly really happy to get it.

That damn vacuum cleaner drove me crazy whenever she vacuumed the floor above the Man Cave!

I won't buy anything for anyone that I wouldn't want someone picking out for me without me seeing it...

jeans
sweaters/dress shirts
belts
shoes

I make it really easy on those buying for me... I use an Amazon Wish List so they can see the exact model number and price of everything I want. lol
