I can see both sides of the argument. The point I make is why not get playmakers to get this offense moving, and leave mccoy there. There will always be talent in the draft, no matter what the year. So i think that argument is invalid. Hell, brady was drafted in the 6th round. You don't need to draft a qb in hte first round to be sucessful, you just need a great scheme and some playmakers to get it going.
A. Don't compare Dolt McBoy to Tom Brady
B. Tell that "no offseason" shit to "true" rookies like Andy Dalton & Cam Newton. Yes, they might have more "weapons" but they LOOK like NFL QB's. McCoy has NOT in the opportunities (slow recognition, throws behind receivers, weak arm, stares down receivers, etc).
It's like some of you guys think that this is ALL to be blamed on the O-Line & WR's. Like McCoy is some kind of "blue chip/franchise QB." He's NOT.
Only in Cleveland would fans fall in love with a shitastic, noodle armed QB hoping & praying that he's "the guy" so they can have their "feel good story." I'm a realist. The guy is lacking the physical tools (height, arm strength, ability to take a beating, etc) to get this guy a Lombardi, with or without weapons. Next...
BTW...we should probably take this debate to the Browns thread.
