I think whoever ends up getting Houston lucks out...since they are no longer really a playoff caliber team.

The Steelers clinched at least the No. 5 seed. They can't be the 6th seed.

If Philly wins there next 2 games and the giants beat Dallas the final regular season game I believe Philly wins the division. Wouldn't that be crazy. That would one team

I wonder if Cowboys/Giants can be the flex game in Week 17.
Since it would be the second time those teams play on Sunday night. Not sure if there is a rule that prevents that.

AFC for the #6 seed and West Champ is insane.....had the Raiders held on it would've been that way for the #6 seed in the NFC and in the East

I have to say, the NFC playoffs are going to be pretty good from the get go. The AFC, not so much. Wake me up when we at-least get to the second round. Houston/New York? I'm not sure I could envision a worse wild-card weekend game...

Steelers control their own destiny in the AFC because we beat Pats head to head and the Crows lost, which makes them 5th seed

Would you rather get the #1 seed, have home field throughout, and get Baltimore in round 2?
Or, get the #2 seed, have home field until the AFC Championship, but also be nearly guaranteed a spot in the game (getting the Houston/New York/Cincinnati) winner?
I'm guessing most will say option 1 because it gives them a redemption shot against the Ratbirds.

3 wins away from home field advantage
San Francisco obviously the toughest one
won't be easy but I think the Steelers having been to the Super Bowl a few times, know this is where you have to suck it up and put it on the line

I don't get Bmore at all. On paper, they are the most complete team out there. Then you see these head scratching losses to bad teams. The San Diego loss isn't terrible, but their other ones are.
I think the AFC is up for grabs, but I would probably have to favor NE....blah

If the Steelers win out they'll be No. 1.
If they lose one, Baltimore will win the division.
Only chance they'll get No.2 is if Baltimore loses another game and the Steelers lose one.

The season opener was kind of a rare exception, normally the Steelers and Ravens games are down to the last second.
I'm sure it will be again if they meet in the playoffs.

The Steelers are not real healthy but they can get healthy because after Monday night they play the Rams which figures to be a layup.
Browns game could be another tough struggle but they should pull it out
Then a bye week.
With Harrison, Woodley and Polamalu all in the lineup...and Ben...they'll be probably the most complete team in the AFC.
Have to get past San Francisco.

if San Diego sneaks in as the 6th seed, they could beat Houston
sending San Diego to Pittsburgh...which would be a tough game
and Baltimore/Denver to New England

I will say that the Steelers have had a lot of good fortune over the years
who knows what will happen now, but I can recall a lot of situations like this where they needed a team to lose and got help
sometimes they haven't been able to take full advantage...for example several times when they've been the No. 2 seed in the playoffs, the top seed has gotten beat giving them the AFC Championship in Pittsburgh, but they've lost some of those
