no shit. a lot of players, especially a rookie, is going to look like a role player when playing along side lebron, wade, and bosh. Cole is a better "fit" not a better player.thedynastyl988;1053152 wrote:I just don't see Irving being a star. On a good team like the Heat he'd be a role player at best. Honestly for the Heat I think Norris Cole was a better Pick and has the higher ceiling.
Ok, but I still see him being a role player no matter where he plays. He just doesn't "it" factor. He will have great games here and there, but he just won't be able to do it a consistent level let alone a championship level. Just a Boobie Gibson 2.0.Pick6;1053157 wrote:no ****. a lot of players, especially a rookie, is going to look like a role player when playing along side lebron, wade, and bosh. However, this is a Cavs thread, please stay on topic. has nothing to do with the heat.
Well he is playing for the Cavs and isnt a "role" player. So you are already wrong. Cant do it at a consistent level? He currently have 4 straight games of 20 or more points, tying Lebrons rookie record.thedynastyl988;1053162 wrote:Ok, but I still see him being a role player no matter where he plays. Well it makes sense since he plays on a crappy team. When the pressure is on in games that matter he won't show up the way LeBron did. When the game is on the line, defense is more focused and he lacks the athleticism to get to the hoop. Its crazy how the Heat had last pick in the draft and still have a better scouting department. Norris Cole was a better pick. I've been saying all along and got shit for it, but Gilbert and Grant don't know what they're doing. Not sure what Grant has ever done to be considered a good GM.Pick6;1053168 wrote:Well he is playing for the Cavs and isnt a "role" player. So you are already wrong. Cant do it at a consistent level? I hope not, then maybe he'll hit some game winners. All kidding aside I get your point. But Kyrie at 19 is showing poise and leadership skills that are impressive for someone who didn't even play a dozen games last year. He can get to the rim much better than I thought (34% of his shots from the key) which is about the same as Derrick Rose who is widely considered an athletic/explosive point guard. Now Kyrie isn't finishing his chances from the key as much as Rose, but as he gets stronger and learns the pro game more I don't see why he couldn't.thedynastyl988;1053171 wrote:Well it makes sense since he plays on a crappy team. Explain why you were hard on Mike Brown when he was with the Cavs, and now you think he is great. Thanks.jordo212000;1053330 wrote:Apparently having an opinion that Cavs fans do not share makes you wrong and means you are "jacking off". Ok?
