The nba season will be here in about a week and a half. What do you hope too see out of the cavs this season? What will there record be?

I personally hope for a competitive season but a top 3 draft pick. I would love to see Irving become a star so we could pair him with Barnes or someone like that next year

The Cavs are going to suck, I'd expect 4th or 5th in the central. With that being said, I'm pretty pumped to watch the young guys and the rebuilding process.

As for next years draft: I'm not sold on Harrison Barnes at the next level. I think they may go after a "project" like Davis or Drummond, I wouldnt have a problem with Lamb or Kidd Gilchrist either. Hopefully they could pull something out of their ass and bring in another top 10 pick but I dont see any teams trading away a top 10 unprotected pick

I don't see them winning more than 20 games, but they should have a more exciting team than last year.

Should be a fun to watch team. I expect them to be competitive (as long as Varejao and Jamison stay healthy), but come up short in a lot of games.

Here's to getting Harrison Barnes of Perry Jones.

Also, Id like to see them do something with the TPE..pretty sure it expires tomorrow.

Also i'm not huge on Harrison Barnes from what i've seen, he's big and athletic and has a nice stroke, but I don't see him being able to create his own shot when he needs at the next level. His handle isn't that great and his creativity with the ball isn't either. I think he will be a good player but not what people make him out to be.

I just think he is damn solid all around...not super flashy, but real good.

Agreed, but that isn't superstar caliber, which is what the Cav's need, especially on the wing.

Pretty much where I am with him. He has a nice stroke but I'm not impressed with his ability to create a shot or his in between game. I could be wrong but I'm just not sold on the kid yet.

Cavs should be in the running for another top 3 pick, I dont know if I want to use a pick that high on Barnes

This is supposed to be a good draft, but i don't see a superstar in this draft. I see a lot of solid players though.

And if somehow Anthony Davis is still available when the Cavs pick....idk how they could pass him up even though they need a wing more than anything.

Anthony Davis
Kidd-Gilchrist
Terrence Jones
Harrison Barnes

All of those players I think will be pretty damn good next level

Terrence Jones will be a bust if he doesn't get his head out of his ass before he leaves UK or the first couple years of his NBA career.

I like Jeremy Lamb a lot. He'd probably be my ideal pick for the Cavs at this point. I think Barnes and Kidd-Gilchrist are both very safe picks. I don't see either one being a superstar in the NBA, but they'll both be solid for a long time. Barnes reminds me of a Luol Deng or a Paul Pierce.

I like Quincy Miller's skill set a lot too, but I need to see him more as the year goes on.

I think somewhere around 18-48 for the season.

I'm on the fence with Harrison Barnes.

On one hand, I could see him becoming a Paul Pierce/Joe Johnson type of player. Not overly athletic and not quick enough to beat elite defenders off the dribble, but he's got a smooth stroke and is savvy enough to create his own shot.

On the other, his lack of true explosiveness worries me. I do like that he and Kyrie are best friends though.

As for the Cavs, the FO is going about this the right way. Stockpiling young talent/draft picks and clearing cap space. This was how the OKC Thunder did it and it's how I hoped we did it.

I think the Cavs will be fun to watch, but probably not early on. Kyrie was my favorite player in last years draft and the guy I wanted the Cavs to get from day 1. I think he's going to be ELITE with his speed, handles, play making capability and ability to both shoot from anywhere and drive to the basket.

Tristan Thompson is going to be a very good interior defender and his offensive game really began to develop in college. He's going to be a solid piece to the foundation as well.

As for the overall outlook, I'd imagine 13-16 wins, including a couple of big upsets. I also expect to see some big time blow outs, but a bunch of competitive/fun to watch games.

I'll be going to the Q a few times because I'm a Cavs fan, but I'm also excited about the young talent on the team.

Heard Byron Scott already comparing Irving to CP3....oh my, at least let the kid play a game before giving him that kind of praise.

This is my favorite NBA draft site (lolbspnfailhavingeverythinginsiderslol) http://www.nbadraft.net//

I must say I will be keeping an eye on Andre Drummond. I watched Perry Jones play several times last year and he never stood out to me. I had to look several times to make sure he was even in the game. I watched a Baylor game earlier this week and still didn't even notice him on the court.

I think you really can't go wrong if you have a top 5 pick. There is a lot of talent in this draft with Barnes, lamb, Drummond, Davis. I would honestly take any of them. I think by the years end we will see jeremey lamb be the clear number. The kid can straight light it up.

He may be, but there were many other people comparing him to CP3 before the draft.

I think Byron Scott is the only person to legally be allowed to make that comparison and not have anyone question it.

It was probably one of those things wehre he was just comparing their type of skills, not their skills themselves.
