This idea that you need these apps and internet at all times is costing you quite a bit of money. You aren't cool, you aren't hip, you're a slave to keeping up with the Joneses. Book it!
Or perhaps he enjoys having those apps and internet and has decided that he is willing to pay the fee for them?

Probably is making up for something he is lacking.

Sorry, but Smartphones are for the masses. Do you really want to be labeled as one of the masses? I know I don't. Book it!

In other words, you're not financially well off enough to afford a smart phone, without worrying about your bottom line.

Gotcha.

I could buy 1000 Cell phones right now and throw them in the garbage and my bottom line wouldn't even know.

Enjoy!

LOL if you're "well off" the price of a smartphone and the monthly bill mean little.

More asinine contradictions from Sleeper.

This reminds me of my friend who was too cheap to have a texting plan, so he claimed that he detested texting and would never do it.

But then AT&T was giving away iPhones, so he got one, and had to change his plan (which includes texting), and now he texts me non stop.

What do you think of the phone? And what phone did you have before?...I got a notice that I can still cancel if I want to.

My phone should arrive today. I ordered through Verizon's site yesterday.

My previous phones were windows mobile (Pocket PC's), and my current one is webOS (Palm...thanks HP for killing it).

Whether or not the rich buy smartphones, they aren't value added and if rationality made decisions in this country no one would own a smart phone.

The point is, people waste their money on stupid things and smartphones are exhibit A.

Some people only need to get on the internet occasionally, so they save money buy buying a so called smart phone instead of a laptop or PC.

Also, a lot of people I know, including me, don't have home phones, just their cell, so having a phone with added features is a big plus.

It's convenience too....like when I ride my motorcycle to work in the summer...I just need to take my phone without worrying about how I'm going to lug my laptop on my bike.

I used my smartphone constantly when I owned my business. On the spot invoicing, emailing wherever I was. I actually got new accounts because of my prompt emails instead of waiting till I got back to the office or home. It was invaluable.
